Review Jorge Allocco - Punta Cana Photographer

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I just wanted to pass along my review of Jorge Allocco, wedding photographer in Punta Cana. I got married on April 14, 2010 at the NH Real Arena resort in Punta Cana.

Jorge was my photographer.

I found him absolutely fantastic. We emailed numerous times prior to my arrival to confirm the type and style of wedding I was having and what photos I wanted him to capture. He always responded, usually within 12 hours or faster, of my emails and his English is quite good. Before arriving, I was quite confident that he understood my husband and I and what we wanted for our wedding.

On the wedding day, he arrived at my room 30 minutes in advance. He was on time, prompt and courteous. He was easy to work with and had great ideas about how to position etc. He was funny, relaxed, friendly and put everyone at ease, which is so important to get great photos!

Same at the wedding ceremony, he was there capturing every moment but in a non-obstrusive manner. He put everyone at ease and made everything very easy. He was happy to go with our flow, which was awesome!

After the ceremony, he captured all the pictures of family that I wanted and then lead us down to the beach for photos. Again, he knew exactly where to position us and what shots to get - at great angles. It was quick, easy, and fun!

It took about 30 minutes after the ceremony and we were all done. Since we were staying an extra week, we were in no rush to get together to go over the photos but he was happy to work around our shedule so we met the following Monday to go over the photos.

He brought his laptop and we went through the 250 photos to pick the ones we wanted. He took his time, again was friendly and relaxed - he was happy to go over them as many times as we wanted. He had altered some of the photos with some sepia and color saturation that was absolutely stunning! We were so impressed and happy with them.

Within an hour of picking our photos, he had them all on CD for us (we could take print or CD with high resolution jpg versions and we opted for CD to print at home).

Here is his blog with the posting of our photos:

I can't say again how happy I was with his work, his style, and his customer service - know that you can book Jorge with confidence!!

Cheers

Natalie

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
