Gifts for Wedding Coordinator

Recommended Posts

I was thinking the same thing about my wedding planner. I have hired an outside planner up here in the states, and she has been super super fantastic. I was going to treat her to a spa day once we get down to Secrets Maroma Beach. I'm not sure if that would be something that you'd like to do for your coordinator. If she works there, her dicount might be better. But its an idea wink.gif

Im sure she'd also appreciate a letter of recommendation along with a thank you note from you and your-to-be husband thanking her for her specifics. Maybe along with a wedding picture. That is the best thing for them since they can always remember and use it for thier business as well.

The spa day idea sounds perfect, and I'm sure the letter of recommendation would be greatly appreciated as well. Too often these days people don't take the time to recognize great customer service, it's only when things go wrong you hear anything. She'd appreciate it I'm sure!

I say just give her a generous tip the day of your wedding for all her hard work. Money talks. Ask who her immediate supervisor is and send a rave review about her.

The spa idea is nice, but as mentioned, she probably gets a better discount or would prefer to go somewhere else anyhow since she's there all day every day.

You're lucky you get to do that. Unfortunately, I do not meet Claudia until three days prior to the wedding. I guess I will have to with a tip and a letter of recommendation.

I gave our wedding cordinator a cash tip... she earned it!! The average salary in Mexico is much less than it is here in the states. Also, I didn't feel that I knew our coordinator well enough personally to buy a gift that she would find meaninful.

I like the idea of the letter of recommendation. I think I may need to do that. Great idea!!

My friends and family are always asking to bring them lotion from Victorias Secret....so common here, but the only place to get it in Cancun is the duty free shop, and the selection is VERY limited...

I also LOVE the idea of writing a reccomendation letter. The hotels that I used to work for in Cancun would publish the comments that guests left on their comment cards once a month - it was so awesome to have your name in those comments for all the staff to see. if the hotel that you stay at has comment cards - try to reference the standout members of the staff by name!

I will probably give a small gift ($15-$20) with the recomendation letter AND the tip.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
