Has anyone experienced their cake melting during the reception. I'm getting married in July and I'm worried the heat will melt the cake before we get to eat it. Does anyone know if they bring the cake out last or if it sits out during the entire reception?

That is one of my concerns too. I know that with MP, you can request them to bring out the cake at the reception instead of having it wait outside for awhile. Maybe we can ask them to do the icing in fondant...

Well I haven't experienced it personally but it did happen with my friend and we had to turn the cake around because part of the back had collapsed. She was not prepared for it and I think that is why it happened. On the other hand I believe that the venue that will be hosting the event will have some experience in ensuring that this doesn't happen. I bet it will be just fine! You can always ask them how they deal with such a situation, i.e., how they prevent it from happening.

i saw cakes on my site, definitely, cakes need to come out last minute.
we are having a dummy cake for reception and pictures, on a beautifully adorned cocktail table, then it will be traded for the real one on cutting hour after dinner.
if you need info on this, i am attaching the link for info, hope it helps!
