So You Think You Can Dance, Season 7!

Yeah, I think it should've been Billy Bell in the bottom 3, for sure. He's on my nerves and needs to leave.

I actually like Melinda, she'd not my fave, but she doesn't piss me off. However, those red pants might have been the biggest no-no I've seen on that show. Omg, they were horrible and even made her look big when she's clearly not a fat girl!

I felt bad for Jose b/c he kinda lost the Bollywood in the middle, but I thought he recovered it nicely and ended up doing a pretty good job. And seriously, how can you not love his smile! He makes me happy, it's like they said, he really is a light.

And Kent. Oh Kent. He's so naive and adorable, he's another light on the show.

And sadly, I think my favorite girl is Anya or Courtney! HA! The all stars. None of the girls are standing out to me now. Ashley is growing on me, but I like her, Melinda and Lauren just about the same so far.

Robert is the only big strong male dancer, which I think makes him my favorite, but I also love Jose and Kent.

I'm not a fan of Alex for some reason and Adechike is good, but not standing out above Robert to me yet.

Oh and you all know how I feel about Billy Bell. He needs to beat it.

So I finally caught up with all the episodes today. I didn't bother watching the auditions so it was just the two weeks of the top dancers I caught up with. I guess I missed the reasoning for pairing them up with all stars vs a whole new cast, but whatever.

I was disappointed to see Christina go in the most recent elimination. I'm not a fan of Melinda and all and on a totally superficial level, I agree about those horrendous red pants. They made her look a lot bigger than she is.

I thought FOR SURE that routine for Billy Bell would have seen him gone but unfortunately I think he's going to be around for a while as one of those "fan fav's" which drives me nuts when there is clearly better talent on the stage. I was really surprised that Robert was in the bottom three as well because I also like him. And I think the problem for me with Adechike is that I never, ever remember him at all! He just doesn't seem to have any memorable presence for me so I can't even comment on how talented he may or may not be!!

My favourite girl is definitely Lauren because I can't believe the way that girl can move! I agree with a lot of what the judges said about getting into her character more and really making the stories within the dance come to life. She definitely stands out for me over all the other girls.

Did anyone notice Nigel and his snide comments towards Travis this week. Yeah, his dance was kinda contemporary and not very Jazz. But when he was talking about Tasty Oreo's Jazz coreography, he made it a point to thank Tyce for a "real" Jazz routine. They panned to Tyce and Travis was sitting nex to him with a frown. He (Travis) said something but you couldn't tell what. I think he was pissed.

Ha! Tasty Oreo - that's funny! :)

I noticed Travis saying something too and he did look mad. I don't like when they say stuff about the choreographers - they should keep their comments strictly for the dancers. After all, the dancers are the ones being judged in the competition. I think that the judges comments overall this season have been very nit-picky and not so constructive.

Ooh I'd totally forgotten about that! I agree that the judges don't necessarily need to review the choreography in much detail but admittedly I still think that the dancers need to have something strong to work with in this type of competition and with Travis being so new to the role of choreographer (only the last season or two at most??) it's something that he needs to build on as well. I absolutely looooove Travis so I hope he wasn't too mad and just ups his game the next time around!

Thoughts from tonight:

- loved Adechike in the hip hop routine. It was a lot of fun to watch.

- I'm soooo not a fan of Melinda and I totally think she should have gone last week rather than Christina, but damn, that was a harsh thing for Mia to say "We made a mistake" and then for Adam to agree... I would have probably run off the stage in tears.

- Jose is the most versatile dancer, but I think he's so adorable. I just want to hug him and bake him cookies. He's such a cutie.

- Alex is awesome.

I so agree with you! Last night was the first time that Adechike made an impression on me and I dn't know why he hasn't. He seems to have a cute personality and one of those super bright smiles, but he doesn't usually show it during the routines.

I actually like Melinda, and felt it was a toss up between Christina and her last week, but her dance was painful to watch last night. It wasn't smooth at all. She looked...clumpy? in her movements. Like big and clumsy or something. But yeah, I thought that was really harsh to say about a mistake. It's one thing to think it, but to say it like that is just unnecessary.

And Jose! I love him. I told Matt last night I just want to take him home and keep him forever. I didn't think he did very good on his routine, but the judges liked it so I'm good with that cuz I'd like him to stay for a while.

I actually wasn't a fan of Alex until last night. I just didn't like something about him, but he did really good. It seems that some of my fave routines are the hip-hop when it's boy partners. Twitch is awesome and Alex really shined for me last night.

And please send Billy Bell home. I guess I'm still prejudiced from when they made the exception to bring him in, but I can't stand watching him or listening to him. I ff right thru him.

And Robert is HOT! I don't even remember his routine right now, but his face is perfection.

I should clarify that I meant to write Jose ISN'T the most versatile dancer! He's good at breaking but kind of falters everywhere else. Still love him though.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
