El Dorado Royale (EDR) Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

HI!! My Fiance and I are getting married at EDR in May of this year! I am super excited but stressed at the same time. We will be having about 25 people down there with us and we decided to do the free wedding! I was wondering about the dinner at El Cocotal. I hoped it would be nice enough. I didn't even think about negotiating things for the wedding. Flowers, runner, etc. Has that worked? Do you talk to Lomas Travel (I am also dealing with Valeria), or the coordinator when I get to the resort. We weren't going to do a private reception there b/c we are having a party when we get back as well. I guess I am looking for advice, ideas, experiences, etc. This website is great and I really should look at it more! :)

Is anyone having trouble getting in contact with Valeria? She is my wedding coordinator and up 'til now has been very good at responding to my emails. I am wanting to start planning the reception and I haven't received a response to my email(s) in a week now. OR, am I just being paranoid and need to be more patient?

kathrat - i am biting the bullet and just paying for the bouquets. i'm using them for the centerpieces at the reception so it made me feel a bit better.

getting in contact with valeria has been a bit more difficult lately but i think it's because she's managing a lot of us! she just responded this morning with answers to my questions so i think she's working her way down her to do list. :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
