Anything extra we would apply towards our wedding cost at EDR. We got enough to get the massages. Then you just cash out and they will send you a check or you can get it direct deposited into paypal account if you have one. It great if you don't need alot of household items and your registry is small. That is why we did it. People thought it was a great idea for the shower.
Great, o.k than maybe we'll consider it too. It really does seem like a nice alternative to a gift registry. Especially since we couldn't imagine owning anymore cooking appliances, which I never even end up using anyway, thanks for your post.

Congrats to you by the way, Your day is so close. How exciting!!

My daughter is doing her dinner at Fuentes. She chose 2 starters rather than 1 starter and 1 soup - Caesar salad & salmon ceviche, penne pasta w/ shrimp and achiote-marinated turkey breast for the main courses and tres leches w/ strawberries for dessert. I'll let you know how everything tasted when we return. We are having the private dessert buffet and dance after dinner, so didn't worry too much about the dessert.

We are having ours at Fuentes the night before our wedding. We are using that as a rehearsal dinner. It is a little more casual then El Cocotol's but we like the menu choices there. I can let you know how it was when I return on June 2.

We didn't do our dinner at Fuentes but we ate there and DH thought the Mahi mahi was really good. I had the pasta primavera which was pretty basic, and very peppery (black pepper, not the vegetable pepper).

The appetizers, the grilled faro of veggies was kinda gross and the gazepacho with red fruits tasted like strawberry juice in a bowl. Everyone else seemed to really like it there but for vegetarians it wasn't too fantastic.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
