so excited! we finally got our airfare to return for our anniversary in November (well, about 3 weeks after our anniversary, technically). airfare has been outrageous for us! we had to bump our dates around, and Tammy with WTA helped us immensely get everything sorted out.

We will be spending Thanksgiving in paradise and I can't wait!!

We leave in two days for 10 days at the EDR with our wedding on Friday May 31.

Is now the time to start freaking out that the weather report is 55% chance of rain and for some of the days there it is 60% chance of thunderstorms?

Don't panic! It's Mexico- most times there is a chance of rain. I have been at EDS since Monday and there were 3 days of forecasted rain. So far we have seen 10 minutes! It usually is just a sun shower!

Nothing like getting an onsite forecast! JEM - it'll all be amazing.

Miriam - how do you like EDS?

To be honest, I much prefer Royale or Sensatori. I think partially they are currently expanding Seaside...too many rooms for their current facilities. And the food is not as good. But the rooms, pools and grounds are beautiful :) But the weather is gorgeous and I'm in Mexico!

Hey Allie, I wanted to let you know that I ordered my flowers from KateSaidYes (etsy) and want to thank you for recommending her somewhere on here, I gave her a few inspiration pics and color ideas and she did an amazing job!!! Her prices were very reasonable too!! This pic does NOT do them justice, they are amazing in person!

Hey everyone!

We officially have our contract signed and room block booked for March 29, 2014! Yay!

Our TA is able to get us a 2 category upgrade for our casita room. My question is what is the major difference between swim up casita and individual swim up casita?

Is one of those the kind that has the little pool right outside the lazy river? Friends of our had that when we were there and that was great but that was a couple of years ago and she said the rooms names have changed from then.

We definitely prefer the swim ups to the infinity on the higher floors but don't know which one to get!

Thanks in advance!

Amanda

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
