Hmmm.....was the $7.00 for just the chairs over the number of chairs that are included in your wedding ceremony? I believe that 12 chairs are included in your package - chair covers for those and any extra chairs is an additional cost. However, if you were quoted a price of $7.00/chair + chair covers and you have evidence of that, you can fight that. I negotiated the cost of the chairs and chair covers with them and received a reduced rate. When it came time to pay for everything, they forgot about the negotiated rate, but I had the email backing it up. Unfortuantely, EDR does not budge too much on their costs....because people simply pay. It's a shame, but part of the wedding game. Just try to negotiate whenever you can and keep detailed emails and records of everything. Trust me - it will make the process go much more smoothly.

Here's what I'm having (see below):

      1. Are you doing the hanging corsages? 2 Large Hanging Corsages
      2. Are you doing chair covers and bows (what color bows)? Yes and I'm having Cream Bows
      3. Are you having a runner? No - since I'm having my ceremony in the chapel and another bride said the floor alone is more elegant than having the runner.
      4. What color runner? N/A
      5. Are you doing rose petals? Yes, but not as a runner - my guests will have the rice paper cups w/ the rose petals to throw at us.
      6. Any other decorations (ie fans?) 2 Medium Centerpieces, 1 Large Centerpiece
      7. What bouquet choices are you doing if doing it from the lomas site? BB17 (I'm adding 4 purple calla lillies to it). My FI will be getting B9, Dads are getting B7, Moms and FI's sister are getting LC01
      8. Any unique elements (ie sand ceremony, songs, readings, etc.) I wanted to do a sand ceremony, but since we're having it in the chapel, we're going w/ the candle unity ceremony. We're creating a CD of our songs for the ceremony.

PM me if you want a copy of my Excel spreadsheet that has helped me tremendously in keeping everything straight.

I know some of you have mentioned this throughout this thread, but I am making some of these decisions right now and would like to see what others are doing. Any recent EDR brides have any suggestions as to what they would and wouldn't do again for the ceremony locations and decorations?

Here's what Valeria emailed us regarding chairs: There is a 7.00usd per extra chair undressed. and a 4.00usd per each of the 12 chairs included, to have it covered in white linens and white bows, and 7.00usd per chair with a colored bow (such as blue) and white covers. That would make the price quoted us $14 per chair.

Speaking of ceremony's, can everyone please tell me what you are doing for your ceremony as far as decorations if you are having a beach ceremony?
Here's what we've ordered for my daughter's wedding:

        2. Are you doing chair covers and bows (what color bows)? No, undressed chairs
        3. Are you having a runner? Yes
        4. What color runner? Caribbean blue.
        5. Are you doing rose petals? Yes, they are part of the exotic gazebo package - petal from 48 roses
        6. Any other decorations (ie fans?)Yes, two colors of fabric on the gazebo-caribbean blue and aqua for a charge of $100
        7. What bouquet choices are you doing if doing it from the lomas site? PB10 with bird-of-paradise
        8. Any unique elements (ie sand ceremony, songs, readings, etc.) Writing own vows

We also received these prices from Valeria:
        Floating candles: 5.00usd each.
        Tiki torches: 7.00usd each
        beach candles: 2.00usd each
        glass votives: 2.00usd ea
There is not fee to charge if you are only bringing place cards and menus, even thou, the Hotel will provide menus for dinner at Las Fuentes.

Also, I had her send me a copy of the excel spreadsheet that she uses. It includes everything we have ordered, including menus, people booked, and photos of the colors of the runner and gazebo fabrics. I'd advise everyone to ask for a copy.

          4. What color runner?
          5. Are you doing rose petals? yes-- doing rose petals on top of isle runner- a mixture of colors-- red, hot pink, orange, yellow, turquoise blue--a mixture of "tropical colors".
          6. Any other decorations (ie fans?) -no, just simple cerermony programs that I'm making and I'll have them in each chair, secured by shells.
          7. What bouquet choices are you doing if doing it from the lomas site? I didn't see mine on the website- so I posted a picture- it will be a mixture of roses and tulips in hot pink and orange.
          8. Any unique elements (ie sand ceremony, songs, readings, etc.) -having a sand ceremony- actually bought sand vases and colored sand online- and they look really good-I'll post the site...

Hi everyone!! Hope all EDR brides are doing well! Through our "free sweet wedding package" - we got our first 12 chairs decorated with white covers and colored (red/pink) bows for $6 a chair. Every chair after the first 12, was $12 a chair to have the white covers and colored bows...

We are doing the "deluxe gazebo" at Faisanes.. here is descriptions--- 4 poles with sheer fabric, 4 large hanging corsages with 25 pastel or tropical flowers each one, and petals from 48... I answered the above questions in Red!

Here is picture of my "theme color" -in between a red and pink...

This is how I hope my fabric on my deluxe gazebo (except I want it in white and my red-pink color) will look!

Thanks for information-- your daughter's wedding sounds beautiful! can't wait for pix!! -- I can confirm that I received the same information from Valeria regarding prices for tiki torches, floating candles and beach candles... All of our grandparents have passed away- so we are having a decorated chair at the ceremony, empty-- and we are each carrying 4 long stem roses (one for each grandparent) and placing in the chair at beginning of ceremony-- the 8 long stem roses were just $15....

The blue/aqua gazebo is how my daughter is hoping hers will look.

We were told the chairs were $7 and $14. I find it interesting that we have all been quoted different prices on the chairs.

Yes - I doublechecked my spreadsheet from Valeria- and we are paying $72 total (white covers, colored bows) for the first 12 chairs; and then $12 for each additional decorated chair---- I do agree about comparing prices... I doublechecked what she told me against what you said about the other accessories---- the chair thing seems sketchy!

We were told the wooden walkway was not available anymore, and that to have a colored runner (other than the red) was $40. Also, the fabric on the gazebo is $100 for 2 colors. We are also doing the dessert buffet at $20 per person.
