El Dorado Royale (EDR) Brides - POST HERE!

We did the same thing with our ipod and it was great! Had 24 people too!

Do you and your FI know that men have to wear long pants for dinners at the resorts? I don't think he will be allowed to wear shorts at your reception :(

We did do OOT bags and they went over great! HOWEVER, if I were to do it again I would just buy one or two items like say the little sunscreen and aloe, tie them together with some raffia and attatch them to the info cards(flight info, resort dress code, local things to do, time of welcome dinner, etc) we handed out a few weeks before flying down.  I think a lot of the stuff never got used and I would have loved to put that money towards something like what angi111111 did!

We are doing a Catamaran Snorkeling trip the day before the wedding. I ordered some cute beach themed photo albums and a candle for each couple to receive at the welcome dinner. Less to carry and worry about when we get there...My FI was all for this idea instead of bags ;) so, it made him Happy!

Did anyone on this thread choose tulle for the gazebo and chairs? Was is worth it?

I choose blue tulle to decorate the gazebo and decided to go with uncovered chairs... I looked at a lot of pictures and got some other girl advice and decided to spent the $$$ on other things instead of chair covers....we really want the beach feel so I decided against a runner and I am doing just rose petals on the sand and two flower corsages on the gazebo with a white linen table cloth on the small table under the gazebo with matching flower arrangement and sand ceremony vases. The WC said they will move the flowers to the cocktail and dinner area after ceremony....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
