I am having a private dinner reception, and need some suggestions on food.

I will not be able to try of the food options before the wedding.

What did you do?

Hi @@Starum2288,

We had the beach BBQ and it was AMAZING. All of the food was delicious and people were raving about it while going back for 2nds and 3rds  :D

I did the pick two, or whatever, and did the surf/turf with fillet mignon and lobster, which everyone loved.

I just received my photos from Lunic. They're stunning! I'll post some soon!

We went with the grilled beef tenderloin or surf and turf option the night of our rehearsal/welcome dinner and the beef was my favorite meal the entire trip there. It was amazing!!

For our wedding we went with the braised beef in burgundy sauce. Also delicious!

Everything was wonderful when we were at the resort. I wouldn't stress too much over food options, especially if you are doing a private party and paying for it!

Also, our wedding photos are officially up on our photographers blog! Right below our wedding day on the blog is also our sunrise session and welcome dinner!

Check them out here:

Hello my fellow brides!!

I am getting married in October 2016 and I felt pretty good about my plans until I realized I am only 235 days out and basically just have the deposit on my day.

Not related to EDR, but to any past brides how did you pick your wedding dress?? I have looked and looked but I am afraid to get something thats too big or too hot! I just ordered a crop top prom dress in white, but debating if I am going to regret not going with the "traditional" gown.

Related to EDR :) How far out did everyone start planning their details at the resort? I have looked online and have a general idea of what I am going for, but haven't tried to make any decisions with my wedding coordinator due to the communication being so far in between.

Does anyone have any advice on using their decorations vs taking your own?

I have seen some brides talk about a free cocktail hour. Where did yall see this? I think that would good to use as a welcome reception.

Any other planning advice would be greatly appreciated :)

    • Hello all!! I'm planning to get married next week. I'm working in an MNC and I'm gonna marry my colleague who is in my company. It's been ten months since we have started our relationship. He used to support in all my difficulties and used to help me in my work. Always he used to tell me about my smile. He says that I have a very good smile and he loves it. Recently I lost my front tooth after an accident and it resulted in a bad look for me. He told me that I lost my beautiful smile. I was totally disappointed and thought of finding a solution. I heard about dental dentures and took an appointment at a clinic in Scarborough. Will dentures affect my speech? What was your experience of getting dentures?
    • Go for the third one. It is gorgeous and you will look stunning in that. I'm sure you will be noticed by other people. Go for it.
    • I would suggest the long one. You will look stunning in that. It is simple and elegant.
    • Both the gown are awesome and I'm sure you will look gorgeous in both. But I would suggest the first one. Go for it and Congratulations for your marriage.
    • Hello everyone,  I am still engaged, still not planning the big day, because we haven't chosen a date + we have some family stiff to do so I hope that this forum will help me a lot before the real craziness during the wedding planning period. Happy to be here
