HAND CEREMONY WORDING

These are the hands of your best friend that you are holding on this day of renewal, as you promise to continue to love and cherish each other today, tomorrow and forever. These are the hands that have and will continue to work alongside yours, as together you continue to build your future. These are the hands that will passionately love and cherish you throughout the years, and with the slightest touch, comfort you like no other. These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind. These are the hands that will wipe the tears of sorrow and joy from your eyes countless times in the years to come. These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it. And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

I read on a website when I was figuring out how I was going to do the sand ceremony a suggestion to melt wax over the top of the jar to seal it. So that might be an option.

Another way to keep the sand from shifting is to stuff the top with a small sponge or cotton balls. Then tape over the top. As well try to take it in your carryon and keep it upright!

Have a wonderful renewal! cheers.gif

Kind of a random question for those of you who have been there before...which restaurant offers fondue?  I know they don't have their fondue restaurant anymore, but I believe one of the other restaurants sort of picked that up.  Can't seem to find it on any of their menus.  Anyone know?

I received an e-mail from our WC saying the options for the ceremony were the Presidential gazebo, D' Italia Casitas, of White Gazebo. I have been looking at pictures and I wanted to have my ceremony at Gazebo 55. Did she just not give us that option or did they switch the name of the gazebo. I want a more private feel to our ceremony. I don't want there to be random people on the beach near us, if that makes sense. Which gazebo did you pick and why? Is it private? I am not into the white gazebo considering it is above our guests and we want our feet in the sand as we say our vows. ANY recommendations would be great!

I have a feeling that one is probably already booked. We're having the Presidential because it had the same type of feel as 55, and had a lot of nice lush greenery. It gave me the feeling of being very secluded. We didn't pick the white for the same reason - we wanted to be on the same level :) Hope that helps a little! Can't go wrong with any....you're on the beach in Mexico!

Fingers crossed that our East coast family and friends continue to stay out of the line of the blizzard! Most of our wedding guest will get to EDR on Wed Feb 13 so we should be good. We have about 3 other couples joining us on Sunday when we head down and 2 more couples come in on Tuesday. Wednesday we have about 12 more couples coming! So Goldieloch47 you might see a crazy group on Thursday I apologies in advance! woot.gif

The only tip I have is keep list... I have had my stuff I needed to take for the wedding in one pile on our guest room for months. But I think I have about 20 different list going right now with things to remember!

It is probably because they already have Gazebo 55 booked, but if that's the one you wanted I would ask.

We are getting married at D'Italia Casita because it is right on the beach and we only have 14 guests. It is right across from the Italian restaurant but it is on the very far end of the Casitas, so not set back like the others but a beautiful location. We are then having our reception at the Health Bar. There are just so many options and all great options, so just pick what feels right for you. The Health Bar is also down on the Casitas end and not secluded from guests, but we did a site visit and it was our favorite location right across from the beach.

Hope this helps a bit and I would still ask your WC about 55.

    • Hi Everyone, So, I was cleaning out my closet and realized that I never sold off my extra wedding OOT bag stuff from our wonderful DW.   46 Daily Spanish for Dummies 30 Pool colored OOT fabric bags - approximately 13in x 13in. They lay flat.  I used them for our wedding and they were perfect for everything we needed to fit in each bag. There’s a slight shade variation in the group; I’m guessing some were cut from a different bolt of fabric.  They are also a little wrinkled from storage and will probably be wrinkled from shipping. I have three additional ones, but they somehow got something on them (likely toddler related). If needed, I can try to wash it out and send those as well.
    • I’m getting married in six months to my foreign girlfriend. I was advised by a friend that one of the things I need to do before saying I do is to get a prenuptial agreement. Basically it’s supposed to protect my assets and properties in case my relationship with my future wife goes down the drain. I don’t know though if this is an acceptable practice when marrying Kiev ladies. I don’t want to do it if it would be insulting on her end. I need advice on this. Please help me.
    • So we are currently looking for an all inclusive resort for the wedding. We have 60 guests and found all the Dreams resorts as options and all of them gave us a quote and discounted price since it’s off season etc. Resorts in Punta Canta gave us a reasonable price, Dominicus gave us a really good deal then La Romana Resort and Spa gave us their regular price and so hard to negotiate. Will someone tell us how special is this resort that they won’t give us a good discount when all my guests are staying in their resort for 5-8 days. We are bringing $$$ in their resort and not give us a discount?  What is so special with this resort?  Can somebody recommend a beautiful resort?
