And that is helpful... We are going ot be close to 15 rooms, too. Does that include our room? At least a couple rooms are singles though. That was nice of your TA to work with you on that! :) I will have to wait and see what happens. Right now I only have 10 double rooms with deposit down. Argh.

Yay for the time flying by! :)

Hey ladies! I'm saddened to report that we're back home sad.gif. Our ten days in paradise went by way too quickly! We had the most amazing time there and have no regrets on choosing EDR! We can't wait to go back for our anniversary next year! I promise to write up a big review this week after I get settled back into my normal routine, but I'll share some of our pictures with you in the meantime!

Love your photos! Everything looks so simple, elegant, and beautiful! I feel for you I am sure after spending 2 weeks there I will not want to be back in the states especially in FEB!

Hello ladies!!!

We have returned from our romantic getaway/check-it-out trip to EDR. I'm SOOOO glad we were able to make this trip. The resort is absolutely beautiful and the food is so much better than you can even imagine. We toured all of the wedding sites and I'm so glad because we changed everything that we had decided on.....imagine that!!

I will say that when we first arrived there was a bit of a problem and we had to wait FOREVER for our room and I was not so certain I had made the right decision as far as wedding location, but once that was resolved we had an absolutely amazing time.

I will post some pics soon and more details.

CONGRATS Oneill12......your pictures are great and I love how you kept it simple with only white. Just BEAUTIFUL!!! I love your starfish as well.....I'm thinking of doing something similar!

We received some information about the differences between the two DJ packages from our WC:

The difference between DJ All Music and Mega DJ is basically that DJ All Music includes more lights, the bubble & fog machine and the Master of Ceremony. The MC is basically responsible for ensuring the various events that take place during the wedding reception run smoothly and also to animate your event.

We're planning to go with DJ All Music, as my FI wants the MC. Fine..whatev! cheers.gif

Your room is included in the 15 room count - you have a double occupancy room, and you're paying for it, so it counts!

I am glad you had such a great time and were able to tour everything before hand, I can't wait to hear more about it and the changes that you have made. Good luck with all the planning!!!!! I also hope you guys had a few drinks since you had to wait for your room, our guests had to go through the same thing, but got upgraded and just enjoyed some drinks. Best of Luck!!! :)

Hi there! I did the passport invites, but I included pictures of each page (i think i forgot 2 pages actually) but it shows how I laid it out. Let me know if you want any add'l details. :)

These are great!! What a neat idea! So you already sent your invitations out? I haven't even started mine.....I was thinking of a DIY message in a bottle invitation, but just feel like I am in a time crunch and won't have time to get them done. I'm thinking of a traditional invitation that requires a LOT less work, but worried I won't be able to include all the information, etc.

BangHead.gif This is how I feel right now.....like I have so many decisions to make and things that need to be done and I just don't know where to begin. I think I asked this before of all of you, but how far in advance are you sending out invites and are you sending out a reminder after that or is the invite it? I'm a hot mess right now!!!

    • Hi Brides! I have a Wally Bag - 66" available - $90 + shipping (US only) The wally bag typically sells for $120-$180. I used this gown bag once to transport my dress from MN to Mexico for our wedding - IT WAS PERFECT!   I was actually able to pack 4 additional maxi dresses, and my husband's wedding attire, plus a few pairs of shoes and some jewelry. I packed the dress the night before we left, and just moments before we left, I zipped the bag and folded it - ready for travel. It comes up with a nice over-the-shoulder strap, making it really easy to carry through the airports. No issues on Delta with the bag as my carry-on - I chose to put in the overhead bin, but the flight attendant did offer to hang it in the closet for me. Once we got to the resort, about 10 hours after I first folded the bag, I unpacked the bag and my dress was perfect - no wrinkles! My dress was mostly lace and had a bit of a train, but it arrived perfectly!  Honestly, this is the best way to travel with your dress!
    • we ended up using Facebook messenger when we were in Mexico - the hotel had free wifi and at least 1 person from each family/couple had FB on their phone already - it was pretty easy to communicate among guests "hey, we're heading to the beach bbq for lunch." or "everyone is hanging at the small pool today".  a plus was that some people tried to get a hold of me via FB on the day of the wedding and I was totally not checking my phone - they were asking if the wedding was outside given the rain forecast, thankful my mom, MOH and a few other friends were on the group and could respond for me :)

    • Hi Everyone, So, I was cleaning out my closet and realized that I never sold off my extra wedding OOT bag stuff from our wonderful DW.   46 Daily Spanish for Dummies 30 Pool colored OOT fabric bags - approximately 13in x 13in. They lay flat.  I used them for our wedding and they were perfect for everything we needed to fit in each bag. There’s a slight shade variation in the group; I’m guessing some were cut from a different bolt of fabric.  They are also a little wrinkled from storage and will probably be wrinkled from shipping. I have three additional ones, but they somehow got something on them (likely toddler related). If needed, I can try to wash it out and send those as well.
