Whew...it took me 2 days to get through all of these posts and now I feel more confused than ever. What I wanted when I started reading this thread has probably changed 5 times now. I'm feeling very overwhelmed at the moment.....

  • 2 weeks later...

I just got an email back from Valeria with alot of the "extras" we were interested in. She is being very responsive and friendly which is great! My "extras" are really adding up! Did anyone else find the same?

Has anyone gotten a musician for the ceremony? Did anyone notice the hanging flower corsages at the ceremony? I'm a bit spoiled as a wedding planner myself and I want to customise everything! We are getting a private reception and dinner but I want to make everything custom :o

Anyone who has already celebrated - what would you do different? Jennifer

hey ladies,

i know that i want to use dj mannia for our reception. valeria told me it would cost $500 just to have him DJ at the resort. We're bringing 75 guests for our wedding, so I feel that I should be shown a bit of goodwill. Has anyone else been able to work around the $500 outside vendor fee?

I'd love your thoughts.

Do you know who they recomend for the DJ if you go with their person?

Jennifer
Hi Jennifer!

She quoted me $1500 for their DJ. So with DJ Mannia + the $500 fee I'm still coming in at a lower rate than their $1500.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
