El Dorado Royale (EDR) Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Ok, that makes me feel a little better. My dress has a lot of beading and I'm worried that it might get ruined that's all. I'm meeting with the cleaning/pressing place in an hour to see what they recommend. But, I'm happy to hear you had no problems. Do you mind me asking how much they charged you for that service?

I dont know if I posted there or not yet

Here are my photos (some) from Claudia - she was AMAZING

Picasa Web Albums - Eden - Professional ...

Anyway

I got my hair and make up done at the Spa at El Dorado and was SO HAPPY with it!

My Maid of Honor got hers done too and usually takes up-do's out EVERY TIME she get's them including her OWN wedding, and this was the only one she left becuase it was so well done and she loved it.

I TOTALLY TRUST THEM there - they KNEW what they were doing.

My dress was beaded and the dry cleaner there could not do it they said - fine. I just brought it home and paid $300 - that said, I did do a trash the dress so it was heavily soiled! hahaha.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I will try to post more.

READ MY REVIEW for a TON OF info.

I LOVED EL DORADO and was so happy to have had my wedding there!

On our tables (you will see in the photos above) we got them to move the large arragements of flowers FROM the ceremony cite to the reception.

While we only have 3 I think, and we had 5 tables it was no big deal! Seriously -

the setting there is so beautiful, you dont need much "extra".

The idea of using the bouquets is a nice idea too.

I must say - be picky when choosing your bouquet ... I was dissapointed with my bridemaids - they were all so tiny - while it looks classy and pretty in the photos - when they arrived I almost cried! HAHA.

Also - a small tip

while they dont hold a "rehersal" for you -

go to your wedding cite the day before or the morning of and check out the wind - use that to decide which side you stand on and what side your future husband stands on -

the wind was from behind, blowing my hair into my face and my veil ... people even commented on it and how we should have switched sides.

So plan that ahead!

GO AND HAVE FUN AND RELAX!

I promise it will all work out!

Hi Can I ask, how many songs do we need to pick for the wedding ceremony?

I am thinking:

1 for walking down the isle

1 for signing the register

and 1 for walking back up the isle

Do I need to pick any more?

Do I also need to pick a selection of songs whilst my guests are waiting for me to arrive? If so how many?

Thanks

Dress I didnt steam

I had heard they did a good job

I just didn't need it - my dress was so heavily beaded ....

Songs -

We used 4 songs for while people were sitting.

Then one for me and my bm's to walk down the aisle (used the same song for all of us)

and one at the end to leave to

They did a great job of music.

I got my dress steamed at the resort. They did a good job. But definitley get it steamed the day before your wedding. I was one of those brides very anxiously waiting for my dress to arrive. They brought it two hours late....AHHHHHH! But in the end it all worked out!

Thanks ladies, for answering all of my questions. I'm now at the fun stage where I'm planing out seating and decorations!

I haven't figred out how to decorate the reception, except that I'm bringing wedding flags and tablerunners. I'm making my own tablerunner since it's an easy project. I'm planning to connect 4 long tables in one row to fit 29 people.

Soooo, for those of you who know, is there a room to connect 4 long tables in one single row? I have tons of EDR reception pictures, but I can't see clearly

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
