El Dorado Royale (EDR) Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

you have to host them on another site like google docs, flickr, or shutter fly. click the little photo icon, and add the link there. that should work!

I can't get them to post properly! How do i post them in the thread here?

Does anyone have pics of the garden gazebo or remember what it looks like? I'm wondering if the aisle is concrete or grass. I really want to wear heels but obviously that would be difficult in grass! Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hello!

I'm a Newbie to Best Destination Weddings Blog and so excited that I found all these reviews on EDR !!! I'm getting married there January 22, 2016 and Im in the middle of planning.

Question:  Has anyone had their reception indoors, at the Grand Ballroom or the Salon Royale????  I was told we have too many people for Tucanes (we have 80 guests so far), so inside we will be.   Hoping for some pictures!!!

@AllieH can you help me out with some pics??

Can't wait to share info with everyone!!!

@@Tagliatti01 - yes! let me do some digging through the threads. I think one EDR 2013 or 2014 bride had her reception in the Salon, but ballroom pics are pretty scarce.

the beach is seriously the prettiest of all of the locations at EDR! definitely look at all of your choices and decide what will work best.

Thanks @@murmel! I'm glad I'm going to the BDR so I can see all the gazebos in person! I thought I wanted a garden gazebo away from the beach so I could wear heels and less windy, but looking at the pics makes me want to be on the beach

Thanks for looking  @AllieH1

Our Ceremony is at Gazebo 55 which seems very popular and a good choice.

Has anyone has experience with guest seating and table numbers? I saw some cute sand dollars with name and table numbers on them but wasn't sure how portable that was since I'm flying from the Philadelphia area. I figured just cardstock? Anyone have any ideas?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
