@@AllieH - Thanks!

Also, I'm thinking about getting rhinestone chair sashes, but they are fitted instead of tie together. Does anyone know the size of the regular white chair they use? Or think these will fit?

Don't want to get the chair bands and they are too small...I don't mind if they are a little big.

Thanks, again!!

this is a total guess.

since they are made for banquet chairs which look more typical of those found in hotels vs the style of chairs that EDR has, I think they *might* be too small. I also don't think they'd really show up against the white chairs if used alone. You could probably do them with a pop of ribbon color, but again I'd hesitate to purchase them because I'm not sure they'd fit either.

Hello Fellow brides,

I am posting from Canada. My Fiancé and I are getting married at EDR April 2015. I've been following this page for a while now, today is my first post! I really just wanted to get some advice on the schedule for the day.. our ceremony starts at 3:00pm, our hair app'ts are scheduled at 12:00 for 5 (maybe 6) of us. I really want to do a first reveal and take some photos before the ceremony but I'm not sure this will be enough time! ? any advice?

also with the ceremony starting at 3 I'm concerned about the natural light. i want to make sure there is enough sunlight for the ceremony and group photos, but i also want to take some romantic photos of us as the sun is setting.. is 3 a good time in April?  too early? too late?

Thanks!!

@@LynseyP  The resort can do 3 servies at a time.  So if there are 6 of you it would go like this:

12pm First 3 girls for hair

1pm Last 3 girls for hair.

All hair would end at approx 2pm.  Therefore I would start sooner if you want to do reveal and even sooner if you plan on getting makeup done.

You should have plenty of natural light at 3pm in April

Hi again ladies!  I know that we have discussed about tipping.  Many ladies have said they are tipping their WC, but did you tip the onsite coordinator or your lomas WC or both?  Also, since this isn't a service we are paying for.  How much do you tip them?  How much do you tip the bartenders and servers?  What about photographer and videographer?  I am using Sarani and my photographer is over 4k.  I just want to make sure I have all these things ready to go and that I am tipping well.

1 more question!  Has anyone been able to negoiate the $800 outside vendor fee?  I dont' think the resort can accomodate all of the people that need their hair and makeup done the day of the wedding.  Therefore I want to bring in an outside company that can accomodate anyone.  But I don't want to pay the $800 since I would have used the onsite teams if they were able to.  Any suggestions?

I got married at 5pm on April 30th and there will be plenty of light out so do not worry and we did not take alot before hand either. We did our group shots after and they turned out wonderful.

Hi Lynsey, I was worried about the timing as well.  I'm getting married on January 17th and our ceremony is also at 3:00pm.  I requested earlier hair times, so we are moved up to 3 girls at 10:30 and 3 girls at 11:30.  We wanted to have time to do makeup after hair, snack on some appetizers, take a few pics and have a few mimosas before the wedding.  They told us that the sun sets around 4:45ish in January, so I think April it should be an hour or two later?  Hope this helps!

Does anyone have their welcome letter or guest itinerary that they wouldn't mind sending me?  I have started mine but want to make sure I am not forgetting anything.  It would be MUCH appreciated!

Also, have most of you made your own programs?  I have started making mine but am trying to figure out if these should be put in a basket at the ceremony for guests to grab themselves or have an usher or someone hand them out.  Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi ladies,

I am getting married at EDR on May 16, 2015. Does anyone have a photographer that they could recommend? I am not sure which preferred vendor to use. Thanks!

I'm going with Sarani for our wedding in January.  I have heard AMAZING things about her and have seen other bride's photos from her and they have turned out great.  Even the wedding coordinator said everyone raves about Sarani and we will not be disappointed.  Unfortunately, she is the most expensive.  I think she is costing us $3900.  :(

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
