El Dorado Royale (EDR) Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

This would not work at EDR, or at least I think it wouldn't.  EDR is quite large and the resort it self is quite a distance away from the gates.  At the gates they have a check in, and only vehicles on a list are permitted in and out of the gates.  So, so they would not be able to meet you at the front lobby where other services come in and out.
Just to clarify, brides have reported that they met vendors at the gates of their respective resorts to avoid charges (not necessarily the lobby). I'm not sure about EDR, but it might be worth finding out whether this is a viable option if a bride is looking to save.

yup - what everyone says is true. and you won't want to chase those down on your wedding day anyway.

if you have a guest staying off property who wants to bring the flowers, that may be an option - but I'd say it's a long shot.

if your heart is set on fresh flowers, you are somewhat limited and need to get them through Lomas. I'm not even sure if they will approve an outside florist - I recall hearing from a recent bride that the only outside vendors they will let in, even with the fee, is photographers.

You can talk to your WC about smaller bouquets, or less expensive flower types. Either way - as long as you stick with what they have available, it'll turn out beautiful.

My wedding coordinator told me that sheers for the gazebo have to be 12 mts long x 1.5 mts wide.

It was hard to find organza of my wedding colors. So I used http://www.tulleshop.com/Wholesale-Apple-Green-Organza-Fabric-p/310009.htm

http://www.tulleshop.com/Wholesale-Baby-Maize-Organza-Fabric-p/310002.htm

Colors of the sheers that i received were slightly different from the colors on these pictures( green-darker, yellow - much lighter), but they were still very nice.

Also I've found on ebay a very nice seller dreampartycreation

I ordered chair bows from them( very nice quality, love them); they also have a nice selection of organza bolts. However, their bolts are 50" wide(((

Hope this helps)

The event is the cost of the food. If you bring your own extra decorations, linens, etc., then there is an additional fee to set up those items. (if you rent or purchase items from them directly then it is just that fee, no additional setup)

This fee is decided by the local wedding coordinator on site, and usually will vary by the amount of work that is required to place all your decor and the number of guests. (but a good rule of thumb is plan for about $5/person....and usually the maximum has been about $250)

Hi Jennifer,

I don't know for certain, but I believe they serve all of the dishes. It's a great question to ask!! Will you keep us posted on the answer, if one of other EDR brides doesn't have it for us? I'd like to add that to the official thread info.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
