I made a reggae playlist for our beach cocktail hour and made a spanish guitar playlist for our rehearsal dinner. Look up some stuff by Otmar Liebert on John Clarke if you want some great Spanish guitar music that wont put you to sleep.

How was your trip?

It was great! El Dorado Seaside Suites is basically a mini version of EDR. The only thing I thought was slightly better at EDR was the food, but I could have just ordered a couple of not so tasty things because my husband thought it was just as amazing. For anyone taking their 1 year anniversary trip, dont forget your marriage license!

I completely forgot to bring ours and they were hesitant to give us our annivesary package (i.e. dinner on the beach, massage, etc). They actually ended up allowing us to email them a picture from our wedding at EDR as "proof" LOL. Since we got "married" in the States (i.e. got the paperwork done) a couple of months before our wedding day, our marriage license would have said that our one year anniverary was in March, so Im not sure what good our actual marriage license would have done for them, but they were pretty pushy with us showing it to them. You would think that they could look up our stay and wedding in their system, but apparently no.

I loved EDSS, but am definitely glad we did the wedding at EDR!

I am glad they still gave you the honeymoon package, but can they really deny a beautiful wedding picture at one of their amazing resorts, lol!!!! I might have to try EDSS sometime since it is a mini version,I am always down for trying something different. Thanks for letting me know how everything turned out. Glad you had lots of fun and Happy one year again!!!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
