We leave in 30 days - I can't wait. It is currently pouring in Chicago, and some 80+ degree and sun sounds amazing! Time has flown. I can't believe my bachelorette is this weekend! We're doing a BYOB painting class in Chicago, then a BYOB sushi dinner, and out :) Sam's is this weekend too. Thank god strip clubs skeeve him out, I won't have to worry! They're just going to a hockey game.

11 Days........down to 11 days until I leave......WOW, the time sure flew by!

I've got almost everything packed plus a little extra. Monday the 15th is my day of beauty (last tan session, waxing session, eyelash extensions, hair cut/color, nails, toes, and eyebrows) and then on the 16th I have a 10 hour drive to my FI in WV. Meeting up with my MOH on the 17th to figure out how to get all this crap....I mean wonderful wedding stuff in the 3 suitcases I am taking. Then Friday the 19th we are on our way!!!! CANNOT wait!!!!

Feeling a bit overwhelmed, but hanging on!!!

We also did the Ipod and hookup to Speakers... One of our guest announced the first dances at the very beginning when we entered and then we controlled the music the rest of the night and had a blast people were up dancing all night long and we had about 41 guest there including us.

We got married Feb 15th and we have not received our either... I was not really going to worry about it until it was past 60 days. I figured it is like getting you Passport. It is going through a government and they are never in a hurry with important documents.

I had my wedding dress steamed for about $15. They did a fantastic job with it! They picked it up Saturday morning, and returned it that same afternoon (the laundry is closed on Sundays, and our wedding was Monday). They hung it up on the curtain rod in our room wrapped in a couple of white sheets (so my husband couldn't see it before our wedding day).

The prices are listed in pesos on the laundry sheet in the closets.

If you need the steamer for your dress, I'd just let the resort do it. Just be sure to remove any removable pieces (e.g. corset laces, belts, etc.). If it's for every day or dinner clothes, they do have an iron w/ steam capabilities in each room.

My mom was considering packing a steamer, but I didn't think it was necessary.

Anyone remember????

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
