I don't think tuscanes will be to big, I just liked the fact the pool and bathroom was right next to la isla (spelling). So it works out great. I am sure they will space it out perfectly to fit your needs. We had space on the side and towards the front for dancing. Just depends on what you are doing. Here is a picture.... Hope this kind of helps.

What food did you have?  It looks yummy!  I having my reception here also.  I was orginally thinking we would have 30 people but it looks more like 20.  I am glad you think the space will not be too big!

We did the BBQ buffet which was really nice, people could go up for seconds and it came with a whole bunch of tiny desserts. It was perfect because we saved on not having to pay for a cake, plus people didnt eat alot of desserts. Which worked out awesome for our group.

I really wanted the BBQ buffet, but just could not justify paying for 30 people when there will only be a total of 16 of us. So we decided to go with steak and lobstercheers.gif

We are still not doing a cake, I can't understand why they want $85 to feed 6 people cake. No thank you!!!

We used Caribe. We paid $550, which was the cheapest package they offered, and then paid an additional $100 for re-touching

I'd been trying to find some informatio/prices on excursions, but haven't had very much luck. Jamie is just impossible to shop for! I think gifting something there would be better, as opposed to buying jewelry or something. I guess it's just a matter of deciding what that is. Whether it's dinner, a massage, excursion, etc. One of the last few things on the to-do list.

The reason they don't have the massages really priced out is they are always running specials. We were there for the last 2 weeks and there were a Super Bowl special they were still running and a 2 for 1 V-Day special. I would say that the Sky Massage was awesome! My husband loved it too! (that is so funny to say still hehehe) We thought about doing a second Sky Massage but decided that we already spent enough money in the general. Also I agree with AllieH the Candle light dinner was nice and all but I think we laughed more then felt romantic.

We just did the Indiana Joe's Zip-lining, Snorkeling and cave exploration. It was awesome and the guys on the Zip-lining portion were so fun!

We also did a half day of ATV and Waverunners it was a blast too. It was through Maroma Adventures I believe.

Has anyone had their reception on the beach?  We are having ours at Fuentes Terrace that was my dream from the beginning have a reception on the beach but now I am second guessing that thinking it might be windy etc.  I like the Tuscanes but unfortunately it's booked up.

what about doing an imperial (one long) table vs. the individual tables? I think it'd be just fine at Tucanes, no matter what. There are smaller venues like the Health Bar that would be just as beautiful, or even on the beach if you would like to change.

No matter what you decide - own the space! It's your celebration, so make the most of it. Who cares if there's lots of room for dancing or visiting?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
