I basically want some shots of the ceremony and a few of my FI and I, and our families. I don't want to spend a lot of time with the photographer either.

We're using Magic Vision, really liked their work on their site.  (Onyx package)

I wanted to go with Magic Vision but i could not find any reviews on them good or bad.  I ended up booking Sarani because I loved her website.  I only booked the 3 hour package though so I hope it will be enough time!

I am going with Caribe. I can't believe the weather, it is suppose to rain the week of my Vow Renewal 17 February.

We are getting married on the 15th!!! The one day they are predicting rain! Another bride said it was like Florida (or that is what I can mentally describe it as) they predict rain but it doesn't always happen. I think if it was to rain it would be very brief!

It rained on my wedding day and they wanted to move the ceremony inside, but luckily it stopped in time for our beach ceremony! The clouds made for amazing photos and no melting guests or wedding party! Also, everyone said rain on your wedding day is good luck :)

We chose ClaudiaPhoto and they were amazing!  Our photographer was Citlalli Rico and her team www.citlallirico.com/ and I just cannot say enough good things about her! She spent 3 hours with us from just before ceremony until cocktail hour so we could save on cost. Our wedding photos from her are unique and magazine quality!

Dont worry about what the weather forecast says! Weather channel forecasted a week's worth of rain while we were scheduled to be ther in May 2012. It even continued to say rain when we were down there... there was zero rain and barely any clouds! I think because of the tropical climate, the predict it as a possibility every day, but we didnt get any rain.

We are at the Presidential Gazebo - we are only having about 20 people so it will be small. My FI wanted this one because he really wanted the gazebo on the beach, and on the same level as all of our guests. We're then having the private reception at Health Bar, and using our "reservation" from the package for a Friday night welcome dinner at La Isla. We were initially going to just use that as our "reception" but after some back and forth decided we wanted a more private feel. Due to the small guest count (immediate family only) we are only having an iPod - I didn't want to spend the money on a DJ to just dance with my parents haha. We'll go out after the private reception/dinner to some of the bars at the resort. Once you decide the vibe you want for the wedding, things will start to fall into place. I also recommend you think about what things are really important to you and focus on those. For example, it was so important to me that we have a great photographer. To do so, we cut the budget elsewhere to make this happen. You just gotta keep what's important in sight. Things can add up and spiral pretty quickly :)

I would double check on the location as to where you can have your "reservation" as part of your package. I know in the past, the reservation is included in all of their packages, but they only hold the dinner at one restaurant, El Cocotal. La Isla is a rather small, but very popular dinner location. We stayed on the Casitas side and made reservations one night for La Isla and still had a 45 minute wait. El Cocotal is a great place for dinner, but is the largest of all of their restaurants, so they typically do their reservations at that location only.

We had originally had it for Cocotal, and then Claudia emailed saying we had to move it to La Isla because Cocotal was having another large event. I told her whatever, as long as the food is good i don't care where it is :) But thanks for looking out!

Well I am 4 days away from leaving for my wedding and honeymoon 2 week vacation! I can not wait to spend a week with friends and family to hang out and celebrate our big day and then have a second week in the Casitias with my new husband.

Of course right now my FI is the king procurator especially when he is anxious or stressed... So everything on his to do list that I asked him to help with I am now doing! UGH! I knew that this was likely to happen so I should have been prepared. Either way it just means I will really be ready for the vacation! LOL!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
