I think you have my email?.. the jsspiff one?  ..I'll have to change some of the details around of course, but already having the format could save a lot of time... If not, I'll just use it as my standard to reference.  either way I love it!

Just sent it via email. FYI it is a Microsoft Publisher file, so you'll need that in order to edit.

These look great! Plus I love when FIs actually put some time into the wedding planning.

Allie is right on. Do you have your WC yet? They should be able to email tons of pricing info. If not feel free to ask here or send a private message :)
Thanks for your help! I haven't booked yet (as it's too far ahead to book in the UK at the moment) but we have pretty much got it down to between EDR & EDM so all karisma/el dorado help is muchly appreciated. X

This is the million dollar question. There is a set-up fee. Many of us have been quote a $5 per person fee, however others have gotten down there and just been told it's a flat fee, such as $150. I have been told this will be determined once we get down there. So at this point I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.

Gotcha. Well I have all the documentation from my WC via email, if you want any. You can also view the wedding packages online, and all the add-ons, if that helps you. Just google "Lomas Wedding" and it'll take to their website. Let me know if you need any prices beyond that and I'll see what my WC sent me :)

You are allowed to bring any of your own decorations. The set up fee is usually decided upon by the local WC once they see how much stuff you have and the time required to set it up. (hence your WC that you email, may not be able to give you a proper quote. They are based in Miami, not Mexico) Up to now we have suggested to brides to bring cash with them to the onsite meeting and then negioate the price there. The $5/person quote, is just to give you an idea. (but for example I had 63 guests and paid about $120)

I had my first dress fitting today and it went really well. I bought my dress from one of those knock off shops in China. I paid $150 for it and was really concerned the alterations would cost more than the dress because I ordered about 4 sizes too big.....OOPS!!!

The lady we met was wonderful and it's going to cost me less than $50 and she basically has to remake the dress. I am SO happy my friend recommended her woot.gif

Pictures to come when I go back mid February.

Now, back to my sound system dilemma - I know someone here had a tech savvy husband or future husband and was going to keep me informed of any good deals that they found that would be good for the Health Bar which is outside across from the beach, but for the life of me I can't find the post. I have terrible wedding brain these days, please forgive me!!

I'm still trying to decide if I want to rent or purchase. Purchasing makes more sense if we can get one reasonable enough, but I'm not sure if what we purchase will be loud enough, etc.

Someone want to just make this decision for me smile105.gifI would very glad to let you!!!

welcome.gifCongratulations!!!! This group is amazing and you will find everything need here for your DW. Allie is such a wonderful help here to all of us, I think I've survived a few cliff dives thanks to her and the other ladies!! Anything you may need, just ask - someone has certainly been there/done that or has some type of advice to lend.

Happy planning!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
