Just finished our timeline for the welcome bags! Well, my FI just finished them...but I'm very happy :) So glad he's figured out Publisher, because doing our own menu, programs, and timelines is saving us a lot of $$!!

Gale - I think the trick is to create stuff and add it to your cart, but don't check out. They'll eventually send you coupons for it. Others also used Groupons ($17 for $70) to get really inexpensive stuff.

I never quite figured Vistaprint out myself... I didn't have that kind of patience. When I was ready to order it, I ordered it lol I think most of mine ended up coming from 123print.com or overnightprints.com - and yes, I paid for it.

I need some VistaPrint help. I'm curious how people get so many items for free.......do you just get whatever they are offering, pay shipping and wait until they offer the item for free again?

I got 10 free thank you cards and tried to get more but they charged me.

What to do, what to do!!

Thanks to you VistaPrint experts!!

Hi all! Just wanted to say thank you to all you lovely brides (especially AllieH) for sharing your weddings they are so inspiring. I'm a newbie poster (but long time reader) who is finally engaged & now looking to get married in Mexico 2015, your weddings have given me great ideas! :DX

CONGRATS!!! WELCOME TO THE GROUP!

Just be careful, I had 2 years to plan and alllll those ideas are hard to weed through.... making decisions are hard.  Now with 4 months to go it's all coming down to actually picking things out... and that's much harder than I ever thought it would be... especially since my FI has said "anything you want"... it'd be way easier if he said "no, that's tacky ... or no, that's too expensive"... but noooo... he wants me to have the day just like I want it... sigh... and pinterest doesn't make things any easier.  Everytime I think I've made up my mind, I find a new idea on there.  Just look at all the centerpiece ideas I posted.

I became a Vistaprint junkie a year ago.  You need to follow sale links to get things other than the standards free.  You can only claim one freebie at a time, per type of freebie.  In other words you can get the free business cards, free invites, free postcards all in one order.  But you can't get 2 free set of business cards in an order.  Then you do have to pay shipping.  I took super advantage a while ago, just keep in mind the cost of shipping does add a $ value to each of those free items.   That being said, I'm totally using vistaprint for my welcome letters, postcards in OOT bags, and menus later... maybe even my programs. On top of all the other things that I've already printed.  Everytime I make a point of adding in a free pen, tshirt, stickers, and bag too.. they come in handy.

Thanks a lot, your colour scheme & centre piece mock ups look lovely! I'm sure your wedding will be amazing no matter what you choose! I'm sure someone has answered previously but does anyone have a price estimate for wedding hair & make up at the el dorado resorts? X

Lovely... I might just steal the idea myself.  do you think you could email me the file?  If you don't mind sharing that is?. I think you have my email?.. the jsspiff one?  ..I'll have to change some of the details around of course, but already having the format could save a lot of time... If not, I'll just use it as my standard to reference.  either way I love it!

For us (Nov 2012), the rehearsal for hair & make up were $49 each, and it's $86 for each on the day-of. Then you add a service fee (18%) on top...

So I did a hair rehearsal for me, and then day-of hairstyles for my mother & I. Hers was also the $86. hope that helps!

Thanks so much Allie, I couldn't find a price on their website and I'm trying to work out my initial budget. Much easier having an idea rather than making prices up out of thin air! X

Allie is right on. Do you have your WC yet? They should be able to email tons of pricing info. If not feel free to ask here or send a private message :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
