Those of you wondering about bugs... I have a few bites on me but no idea where or when I got them, haven't seen Mosquitos and gave but itched at all but something here bites.
If anyone has any questions let me know and I'll do my best to answer though it may take me a couple of days to get back on here as the next two are going to be crazy busy :-)
Here are some pics I've taken

ok, one more response and I'll stop spamming the thread. We went the real touch flower route, but I did see a cart full of flowers for another wedding. They were absolutely STUNNING. I had a little twinge of regret that we didn't do live flowers, at least the bouquets on the gazebo or something. So know you'll be in good hands with Lomas and their flowers!

I'm debating the large arrangements for the sides of the gazebo, I'm glad to see the flowers are good quality!

My entire bouquet and the bouts, etc are all made out of shells and starfish and gems and ribbon.

No pics to post yet, but if it turns out like I hope it should be something to see!!

I've decided not to do the side flowers on the gazebo... instead I'm just leaving the draping.  I did some photoshopping of a bunch of pictures to make one photo of what it will look like... now, the gazebo in the picture isn't actually the gazebo 55 one (notice it's actually a white gazebo frame) but I did add in an aisle runner with flower petals, the ribbon stakes I made and the chair hangers that I made... I'm pretty proud of the collage actually... it's about as close as I'm gonna get to seeing the "real" thing.

but when I see this I think I won't miss there being flowers.   Plus, I know that I want satin for my sheers, so I need to find some bolts of purple and teal.

Shannon, if you have a moment can you recommend some room numbers?  I know I want to stay in bldg 55 for the first half of my stay... but which room number has the best water view?.. and which Casitas bldg do you think seems the nicest?  I've been wondering this as we've been putting in our reservations.   Suggestions on room numbers from other people would be appreciated too. Thanks!!!

I was told: Flavors available are vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. I´m really sorry, I didn´t mentioned that we need to require minimum of 16 cupcakes. One option could be a petite wedding cake for $35 usd.

That's why we chose the petite cake. We can still do the cake "cutting" and our guests will all have delicious dessert with their dinner with the cheesecake :)

thanks!

The flowers are beautiful, so no worries there. As for uneven numbed, we had 5 groomsmen, and 3 bridesmaids. They stood up front with us, and i think it looked fine. I have photos posted under my profile if you want to look. Plus remember it's your wedding! Do what makes you happy.

Question... did you girls have your BM's stand up next to you at the wedding like most people do at more traditional weddings? I ask partly bc my FI will have far fewer Groomsmen than my girls, so I want him to feel comfortable and it to look somewhat balanced. :-)

any of the casitas are great, the distance is the biggest thing. Buildings 25-27 are not swim ups, and are closest to the Royale/main part of the resort. We were in building 30 (3036), and we really loved that location. It's right by the presidential casita, so just a few steps from the beach, pool, path, etc. It was also close enough to the casita spa, Kampai, and then D' Italia Casitas. It was quite a haul to the main part of the resort though - we'd usually end up calling the bellman's desk and ask them to send the shuttle to come pick us up (they will do that, just leave plenty of time if you need to be somewhere by a certain time).

I think all of the 2nd & 3rd floor rooms of building 55 have fantastic views of the beach. Even the ground floor rooms aren't bad - you're peering over a few bushes though. The other Royale buildings I'd recommend are 1 - 5, as they are newly renovated, and right across from the beach.

The map is helpful for the locations of each building:

hope that helps!

55 probably has the best water views. 1-5 are just newly renovated and a little more centrally located in the resort. They are behind/around the Health Bar, but the 2nd and 3rd floors would have a great view. I don't think you can go wrong either way!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
