I have to say Ditto to this too... my FI is unbelievably picky eater, and can be impossible when they don't get his personalized order right... he gets anxiety sometimes over trying new foods and the last thing I want is a groomzilla on a hypoglycemic rampage from not eating the whole week we're there cheesy.gifPlus there was one time on the cruise we took last summer that we were turned away from breakfast because of dresscode, so I'm a little paranoid about that too... so it's refreshing to see that it's not so strictly enforced.

true true... the facetime thing is a good idea too for talking around the resort too... and with skype you can send text messages... but I'm still going to use walkie talkies and pick a channel for the people who don't have smart phones yet, like my FIL.  I'll pick a channel for the group and then you can always tell whoever pages you on it to switch to a different channel for your conversation.   Plus, I'm not sure what I'd think about leaving my IPhone on the beach or at the pool when I went into the water, I suppose that's a plus of having a swim up.   I guess another plus of the swim up would be having your room phone so close by too.

I just read something in a DW book that said make sure you put bug spray on your legs before putting on your dress.  Does anyone remember bugs being a problem at EDR?  Never even thought of mosquitoes and the like being there, which I should have since we have those crazy black spotted African mosquitoes from hell here for half the year now.  Still should I be preparing for something like insects?  Should I put those OFF wipes in my OOT bags?

oooo yea that's a good question.  I talked to my friend who honeymooned in riviera maya b/c i insisted that she pack a travel size off and I think she said bugs weren't a problem, but I'd like to hear it from someone who's been to EDR...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
