El Dorado Royale (EDR) Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I have a couple of ideas to throw at you ladies... especially those of you who have done this already and know the locations... I'm looking at Gazebo 55.  Based on what I've been hearing from brides about the wind, I've been thinking of ways to maybe incorporate it.  I was thinking of doing ribbon streamers as my aisle decorations, something of a combination of these two pictures:

Hey Chiquita!

It's such an accomplished feeling knowing that you aren't relying on anyone. My FI and I are doing this 100% on our own and it feels great! All my friends that have gotten married have had these lavish $40K weddings that daddy paid for and it baffles the crap out of me! Yes our wedding is very small and the costs are waaay low but I can honestly say it will probably so much prettier than all the others I've been to (hoping the weather keeps.) cool.gif Way to go for doing it by yourself!

Since until now all of my friends have had the standard... dad gives them $30-40K to do the wedding of their dreams... I feel like this is a different experience. It adds so many different elements when you're paying for it yourself and trying to control costs, I don't want to get carried away wiht what others have done or what they expect. This will be very different! :)

Hi guys....mine is sneaking up soon Aug4th...and I was wondering what you all are doing for bridal party gifts. My FI and I and taking the bridal party on seperate excursions (guys/ girls only) the day of the rehersal dinner..... but I kinda feel like we need to give them something as well....

Also For the ladies that have gone.....what did you do about transportation to the ceremony site for the bridal party? How early were you allowed to visit the reception/ceremony sites to "Set up" stuff on the tables and such

THanks :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
