El Dorado Royale (EDR) Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

LOL I actually confirmed our ceremony and rehearsal dinner location about 10 months ago stupid.gif

Since I had already been there, it didnt take long for us to decide where we wanted our events held at the resort. I also wanted to make sure that there wasnt another overly organized bride out there that got our locations! Even booking that for out, there was a wedding already booked for our day (May 12) at the resort, not our same location.

Since your wedding is on a Monday, you are probably fine to wait longer to reserve your locations.

How far out did you confirm your private dinner/reception area? I wasn't sure if I needed to go ahead and do that in order to get the space I want (Tucanes, by the pool), since I know we're headed in that direction. Not that I expect a whole bunch of weddings on the same day - we picked a Monday for just that reason. Thought I'd pick your brains on that one before I send off the email to Lomas.

Wifi- is free if you stay on the Casitas side or in a Presidental unit. Otherwise the prices are: 24 hours-$15US; 72 hours-$30US; 1 week-$72US. The wifi is hit or miss, trying to get it on the beach or by the pool is hard. So someone was thinking of streaming music....not likely to work well.

My coordinator sent me pics of all of the ceremony & reception locations. She also included all the fabric, aisle runner & chair tie colors they have and some other info. If anyone would like it, PM me your email addy and I'll be happy to forward it along.

She also said that our wedding package (the free one..) includes an iPod set up for the ceremony. I thought that was extra! so that was good news.

how is everyone doing?? any other plans finalized?

Phewf!!! Well I just had a very busy weekend with wedding planning, but I can now say that I have confirmed 100% of everything with Lomas for the wedding! woot.gif

I also figured out what I want to do with my hair, made the boutineers, corsages, throw away bouquet and isle decorations! I also got my 2nd fitting and the dress is starting to look perfect on me!

How is everyone else's planning coming along?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
