Hey Angi... It took a few days for a response but I did get one. Who are you working with exactly?

CanadianLindsey,

I loved your pictures and saw that you wore heels... did you wear them at Gazebo 55?

We are having our ceremony at Gazebo 55 and I REALLY want to wear heels since my fiance is a foot taller than me and I can imagine that sinking in the sand would make me even smaller!

My wedding coordinator thought that if I got the wooden aisle runner that I could wear heels, but Im afraid the heel would get stuck in the slats and that it wouldn't lead up to where we are standing.

If you could please let me know how you handled the shoe situation, that'd be great! Thanks so much!

Gazebo 55 is the best spot on the whole resort! You will love it!!  And you saw my crazy high heels, and I did fine on the sand! We had a fabric aisle runner that was a bit tricky for all us girls in heels because the spikes poked through it, but we just used the guys help to get down the aisle! I had lots of sand in my shoes and did sink a bit during our vows but it was fine, I'd wear my shoes again on the beach in a heart beat!!  The wooden runner was too pricey for me and I loved the look of our teal fabric runner, I think no matter what it's hard to walk on sand.

One of the best moments of the day came from those shoes...when my Dad walked me down the aisle and I said to him, "Ah, it's kind of hard to walk in the sand"...."Good" he said, "then we can walk slow and you can enjoy this moment and take it all in!"  Great fatherly advice that I thought of all throughout my wedding day :)

PS Post a picture of your shoes!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
