Other than the photography packages changing we haven't had any issues rebooking what we wanted though.

I can't believe how soon you get married. How exciting! Are you close to being ready?
I don't know about being ready and having all the details finalized, but I'm definitely excited!!! :)

Please keep your fingers crossed, say some prayers, do some anti-hurricane dances--whatever it takes--so that this thing falls apart before it even starts!!!

Ok ladies here it is!!!! Also - dont worry about the weather. I did becuase it said thunderstorms and 60% of rain everyday - it rained ONCE for 1 hour during our nap time! No worries!

Similar to the other reviews I have to say – everything was wonderful and I would recommend this resort 100%!! Also being a wedding planner myself and my husband a chef, we have a sharp eye and attention to details. I have agreed with everything from the other ladies reviews so this will touch on the only other things I can add.

•Upon arriving from the airport the Lomas travel people were very easy to find and spot. They were all friendly and had the vans ready with the air conditioning. We ordered a private van and got one of the other buses without other travelers. Our friends came in the following day and had a black excursion waiting for them and they did not pay extra though…

•The resort was clean and fresh and we were extended a very friendly greeting and welcome champagne. My guests also were very impressed by this and it set the tone for the rest of the weekend.

•I highly recommend arriving a few days early with your fiancée so you have time to see everything and try everything. When our guests came we really went with the flow and dined where they wanted. It was nice to enjoy some romantic down time before the chaos of the family started!

•We had two different rooms during our stay - We checked into a regular room with an “ocean view”. We were in the 54 building and did not have a view of the ocean at all. I HIGHLY recommend trying to arrange the 55 building. I did not think the swim up room was worth it though nor the casita. The casita was larger and did have the cool outdoor shower. But if we could do it again, I may have upgraded to the ocean front room. The casita area was much more private but very far away. When we moved we were in the 29 building at the other end of the resort. Sometimes walking back at night seemed very long. The casitas were placed in a horseshoe and had their own private pool. Depending on who else is there this can be a very old crowd sunbathing or a younger crowd with their ipod. If everyone in your group is staying at a casita – staying together would make it much more fun!

•I forget to print off welcome cards for my guests when they arrived. Each day I went to the front desk and wrote a welcome note for everyone and mentioned when they were settled to meet us at JoJo’s bar. 99% of our friends/family found us without a problem. I really should have made these welcome cards though with some basic info so the guests wouldn’t get lost or worried about finding us. This place is HUGE so please do the welcome cards. We did not do the bags or treats for the guests. The cost was a bit more than we wanted and the hassle of bringing things down…. If we could do again perhaps we would have little bags with Doritos, chips, mints, gum etc. These are things we missed after a week!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
