El Dorado Royale (EDR) Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Laur13 - I am paying DJ DorrMixx $650 for four hours as well. He speaks English and will be announcing everything from our entrance to the first dances to the cake cutting! He is a vendor on this site if you want to look him up. I didnt get a dance floor because I am having my reception at the Tuscanes bar and I figure we can just dance around the pool.

Thanks ladies for the input! I am trying to see I DJ D will be able to put his light up dance floor on the beach. I can't wait I hope he is not booked!

Another question....are any of you decorating with old childhood pictures or pictures of you together? I was trying to figure out how I can do this.

Thanks I'll let you know how I make out with the DJ :)

No dance floor at Tucanes?? I wonder why she rec. this place then.

We ended up going with 2 cocktail parties since we are getting married at 3 and have less then 30 people.

We want to dance though so maybe should not pick Tucanes.

What do you think?

We leave a month from today. Ahhh!!

I think for your cocktail party the ipod will work fine. I would bring an ihome so you don't have to rent the one from them....since they overcharge :)

Baglover, dimplz--I can't get a response from the DJ duremix...I emailed him 2 different times...do you have his email or phone number maybe I have the wrong onehuh.gif Thanks ladies :)

Is anyone bringing votives with them instead of renting the 4 dollar a piece votives from El dorado? They are charging me 120 dollars to rent 30 small glass votives with a candle to set up at El cocotal for my rehearsal dinner. I really think that is a big chunk! Any ideashuh.gif?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
