Trying to book our room, so I have to ask what everyone thinks is the best room for the money? I know we're "supposed" to get an upgrade once we arrive, but have heard of alot of people not getting it once they are there. What can everyone siggest?

I just wanted to introduce myself to you all, I am sure that I will get up to speed with the thread eventually! My name is Nina and I have just booked my vow renewal at the Gran Caribe for Valentines day next year!! We have booked the 4pm slot in the gazebo and I am thinking of doing either the Eternal Romance or the Luxury Package?

I have been very happily married for 17 years to an incredibly cute man and we have been lucky enough to be blessed with 6 kids. We only had a civil ceremony when we got married and we always said that when we could afford it we would do it properly. I have never even tried on a wedding dress so I am unbelievably excited about going to a bridal shop that is having a designer day this saturday and trying on a dress that I have been drooling over on the internet.

I have booked for 22 people so far, though to be fair, with with me, DH our 6 kids and our 2 semi adopted kids that takes us to half the wedding party already!

I have paid my deposit to hold the date, I am not really sure what happens from here, but I have got a good feeling about it all. I am sure that I will be able to pick up loads of hints and tips, I have already got a better idea just by reading through the older posts! I am looking forwards to getting to know you all and hope that we all get the day of our dreams.

I received the same email last week.. Word for word actually (lol).. At first I was a little disappointed but I quickly sent my new coordinator Maritza an email and she responded to me immediately..

I'm just happy that all of the basecamp messages Angie and I sent are still there for the new coordinator to read.. Just in case there are any discrepancies. I will admit that the past few days we have been emailing each other regularly so crisis diverted:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
