Gran Caribe Real 2011 Brides

Recommended Posts

I had Erika at Spazul - she did my hair and make-up and it was perfect.  I showed her a photo of how I wanted my hair done and she did it exactly as it was pictured.  My make-up was wonderful too - it lasted the whole day and looked completely natural.

My mom used Beatrice - and her hair was great too.

Our wedding was on 11/22/11 - going to hopefully post a review soon.. but please feel free to message with any questions :)

I recently returned from my 12-17-11 wedding at the GCR and it was absolutely perfect! Everything from the ceremony, flowers, hair/makeup, centerpieces and DJ was AMAZING! My WC was Flora and I have to say she was great. She made sure everything was where it should be and listened to all my requests. She went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect me and it was! I will post a more detailed review later but if y'all have any questions please PM me and I will answer any questions!

As the mother of the bride above that was married on 12-17-11, I feel inclined to just add a few of my own personal thoughts.  First, the Gran Caribe was awesome!  Second, I can not say enough how much FLORA took care of everything to perfection for us.  We simply met with her for less than an hour and explained how we wanted everything, where we wanted decorations and she did everything the day of the wedding exactly as we had requested.  She was there throughout the entire evening and even suggested that with some of the leftover LED lights we had purchased that it would be neat to add to bottom of glasses of the mixed drinks and champagne glasses.......guests thought it was too cool!  I am sure my daughter will post a more detailed review, hair - exactly what she wanted, make-up was gorgeous, etc.   I just hope this helps with anyone with concerns or fears - you need have none.  Hope you are just lucky enough to get Flora - she so made my daughter's day perfect!!

Yes, we ordered from Save-on-crafts and had within 2 days.  Flora used them in all the centerpiece flower vases, under tulle on bride/groom table and then rest in drinks.  They came shipped in boxes of 18 - they were small and flowered shaped.  The bartenders lined the bar up with the glasses of champange with the lights in them at the bottom.  Again, we really simply took all our own decorations that we had brought and gave to Flora on Thursday and she did everything else as far as all the decorating on Saturday.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
