HI!!

I didn't get to eat too much at the GCR since most of our dinners were at The Royal, but the times that we did eat there last year and this year the food was great!!! Everyone who stayed at GCR for our wedding loved the food there.........and the burgers and such made by the grill/bar over by the pools were delicious!!

Thank you so much for your reply. I'm so glad there is so much to do and so many options outside of the resort! :) Not sure if you've answered this before, but how was the food at the resort>?

Ugh i debated about this for weeks........I mean, its not easy to just choose a flavor from the list without knowing if it will be good or not......so in the end i just said F-it lol..and went with plain old vanilla because i did not feel like stressing over flavors.......and WOW when we did the cake cutting and we actually ate the cake, i was impressed!!! it was delicious!!! so good and moist!!!

ah man! I'm trying to decide if to book the services for my girls. I'm getting it done because my hair is not difficult to work with and I want a simple hair style....has anyone else on here used the spa services before?

I think if you have a picture/pictures of what you want, there shouldnt be a problem! i think for you, as the bride, it'll be worth having a trial done just to get an idea of how their work is!

Hello there to all the brides !

I think I am the only groom here. My fiance and I plan to get married at the GCR in the chapel on 5/12/2012 (4pm)

You ladies are very great at sharing information. (guys arent that good at it)  I have just about read all the pages in this thread, and I must say that I know quite a bit now.

I want to thank all the ladies that spent their time to write here and help everybody out. The information is invaluable!

I am excited to have joined and will be looking forward to any and all tips you may have.

We were given the option to do the cocktail hour and private reception at the GCR or The Royal ballroom. My WC Ana Perez says that they are the same.

Can anybody recommend where they think it should take place and explain the pros and cons. We are not set on the ballroom idea and are open to any suggestions. We know that we do not want it on the sand. We will have approx 100 guests to accommodate. Any info is helpful. Also, if anybody has pictures of their private reception at either location, that would greatly help me get a better idea.

Thanks in advanced for all your input!

Hey has anyone used Funever's videographer? I have an idea of their photography/work but I do not know how their videography..

Also, do you know if their Spa uses MAC make-up/fake eye-lashes? lol. I just want to make sure their make-up and hair application is good quality so it doesn't melt by the end of the night. If not I may just bring my own and ask them to use it.

And for those with a traditional Spanish Catholic ceremony, is there a program book/information I can find that includes the order of the lasso, veil, and coins added onto the catholic mass?

Thanks so much. feedback.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
