I look forward to reading your review and want to wish you the best of luck

I just emailed the price guides to the individuals who requested it. Please let me know if there was a problem. Also, I heard back from my WC today and was told I could change my package to a different premium if I'd like to, just need to specify. My wedding date is not until May 21 2011 so I will wait until I get some RSVPs to see if it is necessary to upgrade.

Hi Ladies!

I am new to this so here goes! I am getting married in DR at the Melia Jan 22, 2011. We have already sent in our contract and deposit, however for some reason there was $18 missing in the transaction they received. I am still waiting to find out where it went but I think it is a bank transfer fee of some sort. It is weird that Laura didn't know about it though. Our wedding coordinator just was assigned her name is Heinicy.

Has anyone had this missing money happen to them?

thanks!

Hello Wonderful Melia Brides!

I am new to this thread, so I thought I would say hello! I am getting married at the Melia in the gazebo January 14. We are doing our reception at the infamous Jellyfish restaurant. All of this "planning from afar" stuff can get a little stressful! Does anyone else feel like they really have no idea what is going on? I am using a travel agent from Beach Bum Vacations who has so kindly dealt with the resort to get things booked, but even she has a hard time emailing me back with confirmation of things. I know this at least.... I wired my deposit to the resort, they confirmed my wedding date and time, my rooms and flights are booked! 7 months to go and I still feel like I have nothing accomplished! Wowzers!

Laura

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
