does "she" have to be in my family pictures?!?

Recommended Posts

Sooo question for you girls... my FI's brother (which is also his BM) is bringing his complete B***H of a girlfriend that myself, FI or his family cant stand (she doesnt know everyone cant stand her)... my question is do i need to include her in the pictures when we are taking family shot of his parents and brother and sister....

Just to give an example of why she is such a B***H.... other then her just being completely rude everytime i see her.. i found out she put stuff on facebook when she booked her trip about having to pay for this non-vacation (dont come nobody wants you there anyway!!)... my FI almost didnt ask his brother to be his BM bc she told my FI i dont think thats your brothers type of thing... last weekend was my bridal shower and she waited to after the due date to respond and then last min didnt show bc she had to work and didnt have the decency to even send a card!

sorry for the ramble while trying to ask a simple question but she just bugs me soOOoo much!!! with my luck ill end up with a fight w her at the resort bc she make a smart a** comment about having to be there!!

So back to the question.. do you girls think i need to include her in the pics or no?? Thankss!! :o)

No, you definitely don't have to include her in any of your pictures. Its up to you who you want in your pictures!! Its YOUR wedding!!!

With that being said the BM might want a picture with you and your FH with her. As much as you and the family don't like her, he does.

Hope that helps!!!

I suggest talking to the photographer in advance... they usually want to know what your preferred list of photos will be. Be specific with what you want, making sure that you get a couple good family shots without her in them, the idea of having the 4 of you in a seperate picture is a great suggestion, because while it still respects the BM (hey... we've all made bad choices...LOL) it allows you to make your other photos... immediate family only!

Is your photographer taking couples shots of your guests? It might be weird to let every other couple take a pic and not them (beside, BM might really want to order one). Besides those pics, I see no need for her to be in immediate family and bridal pics. My fiance was in his friends wedding and I was his guest and I wasn't in any of those pics (except when I caught the bouquet) and I didn't expect to be or feel left out. But then again, as someone said, she might expect it... No matter what, it is you and your fiance's day. Do what you can live with!

When my FI's brother got married to his wife when they did family shots I wasnt included in those ( we wasnt engaged then & I dont *think* they hate me lol) I was included in the girlfriends of the bride shot tho and all the other "non" family ones.

Although I will say I did feel slightly pushed out by not being invited into the family one considering we'd been together 6 years.. depends if you care about her feelings really and weather she'd cause a problem over it. (I didn't) xx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
