Maybe if you do put it in the closet you sit in the front so that you can get to it before any one else!!!! :)

I am going to have to have my dress steamed by the resort once we rrive anyway ... so I guess it's not such a big deal if it has to go in an overhead bin. But, I've only heard good things from other former bride friends who say they were treated like Queens and moved to First Class (space available, etc. We are likely flying US Airways out of Charlotte (I'd rather drive an hour for a non-stop flight than risk having ANY luggage get lost) ... since we are bringing so much with us (flowers, centerpieces, OOT bags, etc).

Thanks for this thread!!!

Lose the dress when it's in the closet? Is it like a magic trick? Perhaps there is a secret hatch which will drop the dress from 5,000 miles in the air. "It's raining brides, halleluiah, it's raining brides."

In fact by doing this we also brought it to the stewardess' attention and later they moved us to first class... I swear I'm carrying a large white garment bag whenever I travel - even if it's empty! wink.gif
Good to hear as we're flying America as well. Phew!

If you call they'll say it's on a space available basis, but if the closets are full you can still carry it on, you'll just have to lay it flat in the overhead which isn't a big problem.
This makes me feel better. I think we are going through Alaska.

Thanks for all the feedback girls. I just want to know what to expect!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
