Yes, Noelia is gone and I almost had a heart-attack when I first learned this; but I am now dealing with Ana Gonzalez and she is really good as well. She has definetely put me at ease.

Knacarato, Please let me know how your visit go with PPR :-)

I didn't know that Noelia was no longer with PPR. That is frustrating b/c I had also sent her a long email, full of questions, back in September. I just emailed Ana - thanks for providing her email.

I have visited PPR and it really is stunning. Feel free to ask me questions about the resort. We are going to stay in the Reserve section - to get away from MIL and to just enjoy some alone time, but the rooms at both locations within the resort are well appointed. I got a tour of just about everything. I really enjoyed the food, drink and  atmostphere.

All,

I was married at the PPR this past March and I had the most amazing wedding. My wedding review is somewhere on the site but I cannot find it since the changes were made.

I have been reading all the reviews from people and I will just say that whatever hotel you decide to go with there are going to problems.  We had a lot of hiccups which is something you can only expect when planning a wedding thousands of miles away from the actual locations and with people that have language and cultural differences than you. I originally was supposed to get married at the Majestic but had so many problems and such a bad taste in my mouth that I switched and that is how I ended up at the PPR.  Others have had a fine time dealing with the Majestic so I just wanted to give my feedback when it comes to planning a destination wedding just be patient and dilligent and realize that things are not going to be so easy but in the end everything will be amazing because no matter what happens getting married on the beach in the DR is the most beautiful amazing place you could be and nothing could mess that up.

My apologies for starting this thread and never checking back in on it....

I am now working with Teresa (in Canada)  She is amazing.  Her son is getting married there in early November so she'll have first hand experience down there as well as a fresh perspective of how things are run both on the planner side, and as a guest.

I am having 120 Guest in the Gabi Room on June 25th.  Things are finally falling into place.  And even tho, I feel like the Palma Real has raped my wallet - - Its all turning out OK.

So all you Palma Real Brides.... breath!!!  I am sure we will all have beautiful (way over budget) weddings :)

happy to answer anyquestions but I sign on here less and less you can email me at [email protected]

or search that on facebook and I'll come up!

Hey ladies

I just got back from my trip to Paradisus Palma Real and let me just say that you have nothing to worry about. I was really apprehensive after the whole switch up with Noelia and bad reviews on trip advisor but I was so so shocked. It is gorgeous. It is amazing. Jennifer my wedding coordinator handled everything and did everything I wanted without a hitch. The Resort was perfect. I haven't written up my review yet but let me just say that my only "negative" about the whole experience was that the service was so great and the people were so nice it was uncomfortable lol. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
