You have to go to Madame Janettes. It is perfect for a rehearsal dinner and food is delish. Also Flying Fishbones is great for a rehearsal dinner. You can put your toes right in the water while you eat. Best meal on the island.

Also look for my reviews that will be posted the end of this month.

I am certified by the Aruba Tourism Authority as an ACE or Aruba Certified Expert. Visiting the island and getting firsthand knowkedge is part of the requirments to keep this certification.

I will be staying at the Hyatt Regency on Palm Beach for the first 2 nights and then moving to the low rise section to Manchebo Beach Resort. In addition to touring those 2 resorts I have an appointment with Juney at Renaissance Aruba to tour the resort and private island particularly looking at wedding ceremony and reception locations. I will be checking out Bucuti Beach Resort and their adults only Tara Suites too!

In addition to reviews of the resorts, I have a few other items on our agenda which I will review including, renting a car on the island (makes sense for me because I have appointments and places to be but is not necessary for everyone), Jolly Pirates Snorkel Tour (may be perfect for a group excursion, I'll let you know), and many restaurant reviews! I think we have plans for one of the churascarias either Amazonia or Texas de Brazil, Moomba Beach for happy hour and the Sunday BBQ, and possibly Madame Janettes. I have also planned a surprise birthday gift for my husband. He will be touring the island on a Harley! This might make a great wedding gift to your groom if he is into riding.
Hey Maureen! Cant wait for your reviews!! Since your touring the Renaissance private island do you think its possible for you to take some pics of the dance floor/reception area? Also the ambassador suite..since there is no actual "honeymoon suite". Thanks so much!!
Hope your husband is surprised!!

Thanks so much for the information! That's why I like the Westin it gives you the option of AI or not. I wanted to give my guests the ability to choose for themselves. We will definitely go out and check Aruba out and I here so many great things about the food too!

Yes, I heard of the Tattoo Party Boat! It is on my Things to Do List.

I am so happy to hear someone else thinking the way I was! But the tattoo party boat?? I'll have to check that one out!

Flying Fishbone is great. Definately go at sunset. You can sink your toes into the sand. The food is absolutely delicious and i love the way they present the bill to you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
