hello everyone!!

Recommended Posts

so i know it has been FOREVER since i have posted or even really been on. there is so much to catch up on. I hope all is well with everyone and congrats to everyone that got married that i missed!!!

my dad got really really sick and this last saturday he passed away. i am taking it very hard but i have had a lot keeping me busy to help. since i was on last, i opened my own salon, my fiance had nose surgery and my son just had surgery on his ear today, my basement which we just remodeled flooded at the beginning of the month and blah blah blah...

so the good newshuh.gif we finally booked our wedding!! we are getting married at sandals dunns river on may 3rd at 2 pm. we have already had 12 people book with us which is more than we thought would anyways. now for getting all those plans straight. we may not have a reception when we get back home now. i haven't had a chance to book anywhere and i don't even know right now if we could afford it so that is something that is being put off. if at the time we can do it we will but otherwise it isn't important to me as much anymore.

through all of this the baby is still doing well. a couple of scares. lots of contractions but no labor. just trying to get to october and deliver a healthy baby!!

i really hope everyone is doing well and i just wanted to update and say hi!!! take care!!

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your father passing. I know this is a tough time for you now. You seem to have a few distractions to keep you from focusing on it. I guess that's good and bad. Well, I know sometimes words can't really make you feel better. The only piece of advice I have is that although the pain never goes away - it does get easier to deal with. Hang in there.

Best of luck with the salon, your upcoming new baby and your FI's new nose (hee, hee.)

wow---- I hadn't heard "Silvis" in about 20 years.... I had some friends I used to perform with who were from there....

Andrea, very sorry to hear about your dad. I can't even imagine what it's like losing a parent. I've had several close calls with both my parents and every day I worry about going thru what you are experiencing....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
