        Hello!

Are any of you having a sand ceremony?

If you are where did you or where are you buying a sand ceremony kit from?

        :)

Hi, I could only find sand ceremony kits online from America or on Etsy but the shipping and customs were crazily expensive. There were a couple of heart shaped vases on stands on ebay.

I bought 2 small glass heart jars and a large matching one from TK Maxx (a lucky find) and am going to put our initials on them in glass paint and we are using the sand from the beach!

Hope you source what you are looking for :-)

I know they are so expensive on EBay and Etsy! I dont really want to pay that price.

I think i will do the same as you, i have plenty of time to look for suitable jars. Thanks for the advice :)

                  Hi everyone :)

I’m a new bride-to-be and found this site around a month ago and cannot keep off it. Well after 11 years together my partner and I have decided to tie the knot. We want to have the perfect day so have decided to give ourselves and our family plenty of time so have decided on a June 2014 Wedding. (I know it is 2 years away but I’m really excited).

We have been reading lots of posts, checking out hundreds of websites and looked in nearly every brochure and because we want our niece and nephews (aged 5-11) and between 20-30 guests we have decided on an Azul Sensatori Wedding and El Dorado Seaside Suites honeymoon.

I do however have hundreds of questions and would appreciate any advice that previous brides or future brides can give. I have telephoned Thomson on a few occasions for some advice but they keep telling me it is too early and telling me what is written in the brochures.

I feel a little silly asking these questions so early but I want to have all questions answered so I can go and book as soon as I can and have no queries. Well here we go:

Is it better to book through a UK travel agent or direct through the hotel?

Has anyone used the Gold wedding package, is it worth the money or better to do things separately?

I have read in a few posts that the hotel charges for guests who attend the wedding from other hotels but have not seen this on their website or in any brochures, could someone please advise.

Again thank you all in advance.

                  Sarah

I had to do the same as you and ship in from America, and the shipping was practically as much as the Starfish, so someone can grab themselves a bargain here, i cant bear to part with mine yet!!!! LOL :-) x

                      Hello Ladies,

So glad I found this forum. We are very close to making the decision to get married in Mexico. Just have a few questions that I hope you can answer.

                      1. We've been to Riviera Maya 4 times in the last 3 years and to the hotel where we'd like to get married twice, so we know most things and would be happy to organize our wedding directly with the hotel (i.e. book the holiday with Thomson/First Choice, but do all the wedding arranging with the wedding planner from the hotel). Is this possible?

                      2. How long does it take to organize everything? We'd be starting now and would like to get married in October 2012 (yes, you read that correctly - 2012). Is this feasible? I'm not worried about getting the dress, invites, etc. as I know that's doable, just worried about all the legal formalities, etc.

                      3. What kind of documents would we need?

That's it for now, but I'm bound to have more questions. Thank you.

PS. Yes, we want a quick, quiet (secret), small wedding (13 people).
