Herbie.....Hope your dad gets some answers soon and feels better for his birthday, sending big hugs your way hun x

Sallee.....Welcome to the forum, when is your wedding? Costa Rica sounds lovely :)

Roo....I get the whole thing with the AHR we are supposed to be having one after our Cyprus wedding for all those who carn't make it however far more people who i didnt expect to come have booked which means more cost for the reception while we are in Cyprus at the minute we have 16 adults booked and 7 kids booked with quite alot more waiting to book aarrrgghhhhh, so if numbers keep increasing will have to see if we can afford a AHR :(

Well some good news today ladies i have had a call from a previous employer asking me would i consider going back to work for them which i have agreed to so at the moment just waiting for a start date :) i am so pleased i loved working for this company and only left because it was weekend work and i had just had my 2nd child so weekends were no longer feasible so i am really pleased, i have been looking for a job for absolutley ages so this has been fantastic news :)

Vicki that's great news about the job, well done!

Roo I think you should plant that forest of seeds xx

We are having a AHR at Lords Country Club Rayleigh Essex on Sunday 28th August 2011, I can't wait venues booked, dj's booked, photographers booked and so excited as me and the girls get to wear our dresses again woohoo

The worry I was having with getting a dress for my cousin for the ahr, I have decided to wait and see if I have the spare cash nearer the time.

Thanks for all your kindness re dad, he looked a bit better but roll on Wednesday xx

Gulp. i tried my wedding dress on on saturday to see how it looks since i´ve lost a stone. Not good. When i bought it i liked it cos it made me look slimmer. Now it doesn´t show the weight i´ve lost. It´s a beautiful dress, i just don´t like it on me....... What am i going to do? My mum bought it for me, i can´t not wear it!

Honestly ............ I would pig out on chocolate!  If it looked good on you before and you loved it enough to buy it - then I would say buy it.  From the look of your photos your a wee skinny minny anyway!! :-)))))))

I'm gonna have the opposite - realised my dress shows all the lumps and bumps I had wanted to lose!! xx

Vicki that is great news. Glad you have a job again and somewhere you like :o)

Jo - Can't you have the dress altered to show off your new skinny mini you?

Roo - I cant believe that mother! What is she on. OMG i would go mad having to do that on my wedding day. She obviously doesn't care. Those kids are lucky they have you. I hope you felt better after your cry. I dont cry often but when i do i feel better after. You need to get it out your system. I think a renewal of vows sounds great, hee hee

Well girls i was naughty at the weekend and now dreading my 1st weigh in tonight! :o(.... I dont feel like i've lost anything but if i have lost a pound i'd be happy. I will let you know how i get on.... I will walk in with my head hung in shame ha ha!

I feel like i haven't done anything weddingy in a few weeks. I need to get back on track! We are going to a wedding on the 9th Oct so maybe that'll prompt me to doing something. I need to start looking into our AHR invites. My BM's said they will help me make some if i can't find any i like "we can have a girlie night in doing them" they said. I'm just picturing, glue, paper everywhere and lots of bottles of wine laying around. ha ha ha

Off topic a bit my MIL p'd me off again this week. I think now we've fell out i pick up on everything she does and it just annoys the life out of me!!! She said she was buying Scarlett a kitchen for her birthday in Aug. We said no cos we haven't got the room, wait till she moves into the bigger room then she can have it. So Dan came in the other day "my mums bought Scarlett that kitchen" he says. What after we told her no. He said oh well she just thought she'd like it. She said to him "i know you havent got the room but i got it for her for xmas anyway"... honestly she makes my blood boil! Well she wont be best pleased when she finds out it's in the playhouse in the garden will she cos that's where it's going!!! I told him she can keep it at her house, lol... meow!! If i told my mum not to get it yet she wouldn't but his mum just does what she wants and sod everyone else. Why do some mothers think they have that right?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
