Aww girls i am so excited for you all that still have your weddings to come. I have holiday and wedding blues!! We have our reception at home on the 18th so at least i get to wear my dress again!!! Just getting over the jetlag. Have had so much on since we came back but now feel like i haven't been away :o( I want to do it all over again!!

Our wedding coordinator messed up a bit out there though. Our check in was horrible but at the end of the stay we'd had the wedding of our dreams and would definately go back to the BMP. All our guests loved it there and everyone has the holiday blues now!!

Didn't see much of MIL from hell as her and hubby's family kept away most of the time - going in the adult pool etc. I think she must have spent about 5hr's in total with her grandaughter whereas my mum and sis were round the same pool as us most days with our friends so it worked out nicely really! She did cause a bit of upset whilst there which i didn't appreciate but hubby has seen what she is like and i am hoping by the AHR she would have tripped well and truely over in his eyes as he has for once backed me up 100%!!!!!

I hope your all well and everything is going ok. Lisa's pic's on FB are gorg she looked so lovely :o) x

Nicyx -I am sooooo thrilled about the dress, it is a dream come true!! We are doing the skype thing at the end of next week and I can't wait!

In answer to your question we have DD 22, DS 20, DS16, DD 13, DS11, DS9 I also have a surrogate DS who is my dearest son age 20's best friend who has lived with us for the last 3 years since his parents emigrated and he didn't want to go! In addition to that I am the unofficial home for waif and stray teenage/early 20's boys so we have another one moving in for a month before he goes off to uni. I also have 5 totally bonkers dogs 3 of which are Newfoundlands! to say that our house is raucous is an understatement, never a dull moment here!

Selina - not as far down as me i am right down in Cornwall, about 25 miles from Lands End! Have you got any ideas on dresses that you like or are you going with a totally open mind? I would leave it for the bridesmaid dresses, it is bad enough having wobbles about your dress never mind the whole colour scheme! You may find that you fall in love with a dress that doesn't go that well with blue - you never know! I cant help you with the legalities as we are doing a renewal!

Samcalv - I absolutely insist that you take loads of pictures for us so that we can all ooooh and ahhhh over your loveliness! You must be so excited! Smart thinking on doing the hair trial and then trying on the dress/ veil combo, you will have a much better idea then!

Michelle - I am sorry that you had some hiccups, but I am thrilled that your day went so well. I have to say let MIL from hell dig her own grave, I did with mine and she aint coming to the renewal and DH is 100% behind me - they do see the light eventually! What are you doing for your AHR, are you having a big knees up, or is it more of a formal reception? Have you got a theme?

I want to do a TTD session with my photographer, but in light of the recent development dress wise there is NOOOOO WAAAY that I am swimming in my real dress, would you believe that I won a Susannah Neville gown on ebay for £33!!?? It arrived today, and yes I had the same problem with it that I have had with all the dresses, but for the TTD I can get a dressmaker to turn the top 5 buttons into a lace up corset type fastening and hopefully you wont be able to tell! I have to say it looks really nice and it has made me question what skirt type I want on my dress confused.gif If i work out how I will try to take a picture and post it!

Kerrry - sorry hon I missed your post, do you want to give me your email address and I can forward the information that i got from the vendors to you. If you let me know your budget I will know whose to send, but to give you an idea the ones that I have talked to so far have packages that start at about $1500, other than Del Sol who were waaaaay out of our price range at $950ph!! I know they are amazing but Ijust couldnt justify it as I want a photojournalistic photographer so they will be there all day!

Hola Chicas!!!!! Mrs Adams here....woohoo love saying 'Mrs'!!

Thank you for your comments on our photos Michelle, they really did a good job!!  Can't wait to see yours Missus after your AHR :) & yes our husbands are lucky fellas....hahahaha

Glad Dan has finally started to see what MIL is like honey & as for only spending 5 hours with Scarlet & Harrison....?? that just shows what she really thinks of family, my mum was the same as yours spent most of her time with us at the main pool, as you know my kids only have the one set of grandparents (mine) & to be honest Michelle thats all they need, they are better off without family that doesn't appreciate them 100%.  All that said honey I'm glad that you still had the time of your life & I am so excited to see your pics xx

Well so much to catch up on on here!!  Firstly welcome to the newbies, am so excited for you all that you have your dream weddings to plan for....I cannot tell you all enough how amazing Mexico is & that we all 100% made the right choice with this country!!

I will get round to do a review sometime soon but it truly was amazing, a complete dream come true.  Everything was perfect, all 47 of us got on brillliantly, the resort was out of this world & the wedding day was the most magical day ever!!  I am so depressed to be back home, everyone said they had never seen a wedding like it, there was tears all round!!  I amazingly only shed a few tears on the day, as you girls all know I am a bit of a soppy cow & expected to cry the whole day long but I was soooooo happy I was beaming all day!!  Catch up with you all more soon, Lots of Love Mrs Adams xxxx

Hay girls, just checking in quickly! Still not got round to doing a review. I am so sad to be back home! The weather is pants although we had rain in Mexico i would trade being here anyday ha ha.. missing the restaurants, swim up bar, no cleaning, cooking, ironing etc.....back to the bore of everyday life :o( our friends are booking Turkey for next May so we may well book that up to, really need something to look forward to!

We have our AHR on saturday! Its in a thistle hotel, alot of us have booked rooms so should be a really good day/night!

I keep thinking back to our wedding day and i just want to do it all over again!! We had our meal on the beach instead of in the Al a carte we chose cos the WC messed up but it was just beautiful! I laughed through some of my vows which by the way are lovely if your having a legal ceremony! I couldn't get Dan's ring on so he had to push it on himself ha ha! Little things keep coming back to me and making me smile :o)

Just wanna do it again!! I'm a wanna be bride ha ha!!

Hope you are all doing ok x

Oh Lisa by the way Gillian Roberts didn't do the last alteration on my dress!!! It still had pins in it so my mum had to sow my wedding dress on the wedding morning! Wasn't best pleased about that! I've phoned today and they said bring it in after the reception and show them!!

hahaha I got the giggles through my vows as well which made everyone there laugh....I keep watching it back & having a chuckle....lol

OMG on the dress that is terrible....they actually ballsed up mine as well, dress was fine but my original dress had a strap on one shoulder that I didn't know if I liked so they said they would detach it but put poppers on so I could make a choice when I was out there....I decided to keep it off but put it on for the evening so looked a bit different however when we went to attach it the poppers weren't there!!!! Not a major but still not what we paid for eh?  My dress is black on the bottom OMG it looks like I have been to Glastonbury in it!!!!....lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
