Hello all,

I am fairly new to this site and am getting married in November in Mexico, to say I am a little bit excited is an understatement!!! It looks like all your wedding are coming up - I bet you are all excited? Any tips or advice for a newbie?

Hi Carrie Welcome to the site, this site is an absolute godsend! All the girls are lovely on here, some of us have been on here for past 18mths-year an are now not long away from getting married and some have only just joined. We're all here to help eachother in any way we can. My advise is to spend some time and read through the past pages. Any question just ask and someone might be able to help. Details now which hotel you getting married at? Date? How may going? Enjoy the site Michelle x

Welcome to the site Carrie as the other girls have said it is a godsend!!  No one understands the planning of a wedding better than fellows brides & we've all had plenty of ups & downs along the way....lol

Well girls my hen night was fantastic....had such a brilliant time.  We started off in a couple of bars in Islington & had something to eat at the Living rooms then they had booked two booths at Tiger Tiger in Haymarket where we had a constant supply of cocktails....I danced my socks off!!  Then went back to the Hilton hotel where a couple of my friends were staying then when it was time to go home they had booked a 'mini bus' to take us home....well when it arrived it was a big black mercedes van which I thought was a bit posh....got inside & it was like a nightclub with loud music, champagne the lot....was wicked & we danced all the way home, the driver got lost as well but we didn't care as just carried on dancing....lol got home at 5am!!!! Was such a good night, suffered a bit yesterday but all worth it!!!!  I will post some pics when am at home tonight but a few have appeared on facebook!!

I wonder how our Nicy is doing....can't wait to hear all about her wedding!!

Need to get my arse in gear this week, no eating at all I think....lol & I want to try & pack most of our things this weekend!!!!....eeek soooo excited!!!!

Aww sounds like a fab night. How nice of them to arrange all that for you! lovely!! glad you had a great time...

I am also in packing mode. FI is on his stag this weekend so i'm having the girls around friday night for a take away and wine and then i'm gonna sort all the packing on saturday and then out saturday night. Can't believe we leave in 15 sleeps!!! OMG...

Our mexican BBQ went well yest. I even put up with and managed to dodge the MIL from hell the whole time so i am patting myself on the back and thinking if i can dodge her in my own house and garden then i can get shot of her in a massive hotel so happy days!! As predicted she didn't make any effort to talk to me my family or anyone else for that matter. She just sat in her little corner with HER family! Suits me. Didn't show the kids any attention and then wanted a kiss when she left. Scarlett just push her away! She's a smart girl that one at the age of 3 she already knows! ha ha definately her mothers daughter!

Nicy has been gone a week now! how fast has that gone!! cant wait for all the storeys when she's home :o)

Hello ladies!!! :D

Haven't been on here for a very long time again...got all wrapped up with Easter, studying and family birthdays (had about 4 in the last few weeks) lol :D

But I hope that you all doing very well and I hate myself that I have missed some girls leave for their big day....Nicy is even MRS already!!! But if you will be reading this sweetie congratulations to you and your husband, - I had a nice glass of wine for you on the 6th :Dxoxo

And so many of you had their hen nights as well and I am glad that everything went so well and all the pictures look fantastic!!! Btw Michelle happy that your MIL wasn't causing you any trouble and hopefully you will be able to avoid her in Mexico too :D....i hope the same for myself with my MIL lol :D While we are on this subject, - it is Oliver's 30th birthday next month on 25th and he was really looking forward having family BBQ at our house and just relaxing, but then during Easter we find out that his mother and his sisters have booked tickets to go see Bon Jovi right on his big birthday!!! and when he mentioned (to his own mother that should actually remember when her own child was born) that it is his birthday she said (and i quote) "well you have your very expensive wedding coming up, why would you need a birthday party...." WTF!!!! can you imagine girls, what does our wedding next year (which btw isn't expensive cos we are having only about 12ppl abroad) has to do with his 30th birthday this year!!!

he was sooo angry with her, that we had to leave half way through Easter Sunday, cos he couldn't stand talking to her anymore...rant is over...sorry girls had to share this with someone...

Anyway, on the good note, we have officially booked my wedding dress (which should come right before Christmas, yay :D) and we also received our wedding invitations!!!! It was right before Easter so we had chance to hand deliver all of them during Easter break, and everyone loved them!!! :D I am over the moon the way they turned out, here are few pictures for you ladies:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
