Hay girls, my understanding was that when we have our legal wedding in Mexico we will get a 'dummy' if you like cert to take away with us and the actual legal cert is sent off (by our hotel) and they have the aposile stamp put on it. Then it is sent home to us 4 to 6 months later and we would be legally married here. It has to have the apostile stamp to be legal in this country. We'd then need to have it translated i suppose... that's the just of what i got. I will ask the girls on the barcelo site to see if they can help more but most of them are from America so dont know if same rules apply :o/

Rings - FI's ring is palladium, he got his in Fraser Hart at Lakeside. It was just under £400 and he got a little discount on that. Mine is white gold with diamonds and was £575 but with MIL discount i got £230 off that.

Awww bless my lovely friends, i was picked up by Donna who is also coming to Mexico, she drove us round to Laura's (one of my BM's) and there was a big L plate on the front door, Kate (my other BM) opened the door and they had our friendship song playing. I walked in the kitchen and they had banners all around the room with Mexican symbols and wedding bits on and a big banner saying 'pre mexico meal'.. all along the kitchen were pictures they printed off on board had 'your soul mate' on with me and FI on it, then 'your kids' , 'your family' and 'your girls'... all with pic's on them.. it was so lovely. They printed off a fact booklet for me and Laura had cooked us a Mexico meal of chilli, tacos, etc ...it was just so lovely, so thoughtful, nobody has ever done anything like that for me before, i was really touched. I had to wear a flashing hen badge and a bright pink top hat head band! So cute, so lovely, i'm very lucky to have my girls :o) xx

About the rings, you see, I thought that they shouldn't be that expensive lol :D especially usually high street prices are slightly higher too, so will definitely shop around to find better deal and special ring too, ...cos the ones we saw where not anything special to be honest..

In regards to MIL lol, at least you got something good out of her, a nice discount on your rings lol :D

Last night very pleasant lady arrived to show us a lot of rings and we spend probably about an hour trying them all on :))) I found few that I think I like but nothing special to be honest and my FI now knows more or less what he wants his ring to be as well, which is great!!! :)))

He decided to have palladium ring, cos its just like platinum (they are from the same family) but 3 times less expensive :D and after talking to Smooch ladies I decided to have palladium wedding ring too, cos my engagement ring is platinum and apparently you can wear these two together without any problems cos they are almost the same thing :))) which i was really happy about cos I didnt want to spend a £1000 on my wedding ring...

So when she gave us prices of the rings we have chosen we were quite surprised...and not in a good way lol :D We new that palladium is quite cheap so we expected for my ring to be around 500-600 and similar for his....but it happened that his ring came up to £680 and mine...£900!!!!

Is this normal you think, how much did you girls pay for your rings...if you don't mind me asking! :))x

I mean if that's how much they cost everywhere then of course we will buy them, but it seemed to us that its a lot of money for palladium rings and especially that I think we have saw some on wedding fair we liked and they were no where near that much...

But anyway, after meeting last night we have decided to shop around lol cos we have plenty of time on our hands, so we arranged meeting with Goldfinger ppl and thanks to Michelle C we are meeting Sara 16th April as well :))) it will be day after my Birthday as well, which is great :D

By the way I have spoke with Sara via email and she seems very lovely , so I am really looking forward to our meeting, thank you so much once again Michelle C :))x

Wow wrote the hole essay here, sorry girls embarrest.gif

xoxo

Must be so exciting for you, seeing the rings and having different meetings etc :-)

To be honest we didnt spend a lot on rings AT ALL.... I got ours from Ernest Jones.... Mine is a yellow gold plain ring as my engagement and eternity rings are gold and have diamonds... i tried a diamond wedding ring but it was too much, My ring was about £100 and Stephens is a plain white gold ring as he doesnt like yellow gold and his was about £160. As much as rings are apart of the wedding etc we just couldnt afford (or didnt want to) spend lots on rings.... this was just our preference :-)

xx

    • OMG these are incredible! Seriously blown away by the thoughtful detail you have put into every aspect of your gifts, your guests are going to be amazed! Props to you for adding so many personal touches and putting in so much time to make these gifts amazing!
    • These bags are amazing!! You are so organized and detailed, I am so impressed! I LOVE the Vistaprint stuff you ordered, the logo is so cute, I love your personalization!
    • I love etsy!! It's a great place to find personalized gifts without such a hefty price tag. I was thinking of getting my bridesmaids personalized necklaces with their names on them. I found these ones that are affordable and you can pick the chain length and different fonts, so you can really make them your own and pick what you know each bridesmaid will want. https://www.etsy.com/listing/595334072/personalized-name-necklace-stainless?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=personalized necklace&ref=sc_gallery-3-9&plkey=a8662525c53ec285c1b46b0f308162d0591edff8:595334072
    • Hi everyone, I am so happy that I am getting married to the love of my life. He proposed me and we are getting married within in a couple of months. And I have started preparations for my big day. I am super excited about a lot of things and also worried about many things.I have some inhibitions about my face and skin. Since I am a working woman, I have never got much time for personal care. This is the right time for it now. I need  proper medical grade skin care. Want to improve my skin tone and texture  I read some details about it here, https://www.mcleanclinic.com/nonsurgical-procedures/non-surgical/skin-care/, and found it really helpful. Can anyone of you suggest me some more tips? Like what I can do at home to have a glow on my face?  Thanks in advance.
