Thank you so much for letting me know, I would of never thought that they have something like this there...i think i shall arrange a little trip to hobby crafts in a very near future :)) not to mention that my FI's cousin works there as a manager and said she can get us 25% off...yappee!!! :D

LOL I must say Michelle, I do agree with your FI, you can definitely make a living out of it!!! I have showed your AHR invites to my FI the other day and he was very impressed and said maybe we should ask you to do ours too lol :D..(he knows that I am not a crafty person at all...:D)

Nicy - i think i will take your advise and look into social clubs around where we live too, just to keep our options open :)) The reason we thought to have it at home, is that we don't want to have a lot of ppl, just close friends and family like in DR and everyone who couldn't make it, probably no more then 20-25...(my FI hates the idea of having loads of ppl around that he doesn't even know, like ...a forth line relatives or smth lol :D)...our parents want to invite everyone lol :D all of THEIR friends and family too..., but we want to keep it intimate and simple :))

Charmaine - just saw picture of necklace and earrings you have posted yesterday and I must agree with the rest of the girls here, it would be perfect if it would have studs instead...But I love the necklace thought :))) and your tea lights oh so cute!!!

I can't believe how many people are having problems with MIL. I thought it was just me that was getting driven insane by her.

I have now just backed off from her. Don;t see her or speak and then i cant get wound up and stressed out.

What is it with MIL wanting to interfere in sons lives. They don;t seem to care what they son thinks at all!!!!

Controlling mothers!!! Grrrrr.

Michelle... everything you have done is wonderful.... very very nice, I would love to see you lot at the airport!! :-) Fab idea x

I think im one of the only lucky ones on here regarding the MIL!! Mine is absoluty fine with me... never had a problem in the 10 years ive know her!! She just leaves us to it, always has :-) I really do feel for you ladies having the problems as i couldnt imagine anything worse!!!

On the job interview note, went really well, my ideal job, answering the phone and booking apts and greeting customers..... If i get offered it i will unfortunatly have to decline though as it would mean taking a £2000 pay cut and the hours are 10-6 which is fine but i live about 20 miles away from Carlisle and at the mo i do 9-5 and get a lift to work as i dont drive :-( but as i wont be able to get a lift as hours will be different i will have to pay more out for travel costs to and from work... so not only would i be taking a £2k pay cut but paying more out for travel each month too and i just cant afford it!!!

After Mexico i will re-start my lessons again to get my licence... the worst thing about living where i live.... not driving..... the busses and trains are so few and far between too :-( I was learning to drive and did hope to pass before i moved up here but we actually found the house about 12 months sooner than we thought we would, it was only the second house we looked at, we thought it would at least be a 12 month process.... but as everything in my life NOTHING ever goes to plan.....

Anyway sorry about that!! Haha x

Ok so the good news. I Have booked my DJ tonight :-) Everything is coming together nicely now!! Im so happy with that part of my life!!! Just need to sort balloons, found out tonight my sisters FIL, well his new wife does balloons so she is going to get a price for me :-) Fingers crossed x

Hi Ladies,

I'm not from the UK, but I have guests who are interested in traveling to my wedding out of England.  Would any of you be able to suggest a travel agency in the London or Birmingham area where I could send my friends?  We're going to Jamaica, and they prefer not to book directly with the operator.

Have any of you heard of Benz Travel?  They offered a great rate, but some of the reviews are a bit scary.

Please help :)

Hi MB

Personally I have never heard of them. Most of the girls on here have booked through high street travel agents... Thompson, First Choise or Thomas Cook, and one or two have booked with a online travel agent Carribean wearhouse.

Either of these have very good reputations and you will be covered if anything goes wrong booking through one of these.

I booked with Thomas Cook. They are fab and help all the way. One of the girls who used CW will be along soon and im sure they will say the same.

Good Luck xxx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
