Hi everyone, Im from the Midlands, a place called Lichfield.

So far i have booked through the Holiday Hypermarket. Although travelling with Thomsons. We are dealing with the manager there and she is brilliant.

We have two weeks at the wedding hotel Azul Sensantori in Mexico then a week alone at El Dorado Casitas Mexico. (Its just down the road)

Booked well in advance to make sure family could all organise leave and money. Although so far 10 people have booked but family are definately causing the mega problems at the moment. Moaning, complaining and arguing about whose going!!!! Families.......

Apart from that nothing else organised as yet. Wedding dress i suppose will be my next thing, but dont plan to look till April. Im hoping for a sheath style dress to make sure i don't get to hot....

Think you guys will be well ahead of me on the planning stakes. Now i i could just sort out the family!

Hi Kerry :)

Wau three weeks away sounds brilliant!!! :D We are thinking to go away for two weeks and then have second honeymoon in few months just the two of us...soooo cant wait :))

We have also booked way in advance because of the families (even had to move our original wedding date October 2011 to March 2012!)....but they are still moaning LOL :D To be true sometimes i get quite upset because of it, cos it suppose to be our day and somehow most of the time it is all about the rest of them..:( But hey, they are family, we love them and just need to get through it, get them all booked and then we'll be able to relax a bit more I am sure :))  (sorry for the rant sometimes these things just get to me..)

Kerry if you read this thread ladies here have loads of great ideas for everything so if you need any help or advice, someone here should be able to help :D

Know the feeling with people seeming to forget that its your wedding and somehow it becomes about everyone else! But hey as long as me and my other half remember whats important, thats what im holding onto! Fingers crossed that keeps me sane....

As long as me and my fiance are there together it don't matter, both of us will have the most amazing time for sure! :))) Also, I don't mean to sound bad...but it kid of helps to know that we are not the only ones having trouble with our families!

Hope that very soon they all will calm down Kerry and you will be able to enjoy all the planing of Your Big Day properly! :))

Nicy - so glad you had a good time. 3 bikinis!! lovely! I love getting the holiday bits.

Well i've got a bad coldsore at the mo and have had them constant since Nov. Doc's put it down to stress and illness/being run down so hoping these help. I thought i'd go now while i had one (plus had to take the little one to doc's). She's given me a high dose now that i take 5 a day for 5 days to help this one i've got now then she's given me 2months worth of a lower dose. She said start taking them a month before we go and then whilst out there. She also recommended going back Nov time and getting some more to see me through the winter.

I'll let you know how i go with them :o)

Hope your shoulder is better soon. Sounds painful :o(

Right i know i should prob have looked into this sooner, but as we´re living in Spain it never occured to me! When we move back to the UK, will we need to do something to our wedding certificate to make it legal? In fact, will it even matter if i´m not taking his name and you don´t get tax breaks for being married? I am such a div. What do you know girls?

I think the wedding certificate will be ok the way it is, unless something is done different with you living in spain? Im sure is legal all over..... Our marrage cert will be in spanish aswel but still legal in the UK.

As for the tax relief, im sure again with keeping your own name wont matter as you can prove you are married with the certificate, so this shouldnt have any affect anything.

I tried to google it but came up with nothing definate :(

Sorry prob not much help.....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
