Hi, we are getting married on the beach. A few people have commented on how hot it will be as our ceremony is 3pm but I agree with herbie why go all that way and not have it on the beach when its what we both want. just hope my face is not bright red and sweaty lol x

How you been?  I havent been on for ages as the wedding plans went a bit out the window for a while.  Feels like I have no idea what to do until next year when I can really start going!  We've had the full confirmation through and so far we currently have 19 adults and 3 kids coming with us.  I think there are about 7 more adults DEFINITELY coming but in the process of booking up.  I'm having a dilema at the moment as I cant decide whether to have our ceremony on the beach or in the gazebo thingy?  Ideally we always wanted it on the beach but I cant get the ceremony any later then 3pm - and in August that is HOT HOT HOT!

Are you all getting married on the actual beach?

So pleased to be getting back in the swing of things!

Take care and good luck on all the weigh in's this week girls!  I'm hoping for a little loss myself!

I'm getting married on the beach as well as for me this was the whole point of going to Mexico to get married - so we can go bare foot on the sand.  When we were looking at places in Europe we didnt consider the beach but more proper ceremony sites - but how can you not get married on the beach in Mexico.

We get married at 4pm in January so the heat is not a major factor for us as it will be in June - August.

Hi girls just a quick drop in. Ive been so busy at work over 50 hours this week and on top of that some major drama caused by the ex wife of Paul and the csa has made for a very difficult week here.Im enjoying catching up on here then i must do some housework lol

For those of you choosing gazebo/beach setttings for your weddings the beach will be cooler for sure.If there is any breeze you will feel it on the beach.

I have decided to sell my dress Pronovois named desert and chloes bridesmaid tutu plus my orchid bouquet and the hot pink parasol if any one is interested.

I'm with you Michelle, we are getting married in the gazebo which also looks out over the sand onto the ocean & will have photographs taken on the beach after.  I am rather short & wanted to wear heals to be a little taller next to Richard & wouldn't be able to wear heels in sand,  also even though weather is gorgeous in Mexico it can be a little windy & didn't fancy a fight with the sand walking to the altar!! cheesy.gif

OMG sorry for mutliple posts but had the second wedding dream last night...well nightmare more like!!

I dream't that I was walking down the aisle on my own...no dad with me...in the short wedding dress that was on 'Don't tell the Bride' last week, the wedding of the guy who was a surfer.  Anyway Richard wasn't at the altar & I was nearly crying walking down the aisle, then a guy came out in a suit which I thought was Richard but it was my ex boyfriend from when I was 18 (17 years ago) who I hate as was a real w*****!!  He looks at me & says 'who gets married in a short dress'!! then I look over & see my Dad carrying my cake out of the 'church' so I shouted out to him & he just ignored me......I still said my vows (to the w*****) but was crying my eyes out.....woke up & my eyes were actually wet!! sad.gif

Absolute madness, told Richard but left out the part where it was my ex at the altar as even thought he knows I think he is a w***** I know it would have caused a drama as he would think I was harbouring some sort of secret romance for him still!! lol

Well im back after a VERY eventful weekend at my mums..... tell you about that in a min..... but first

Fantastic news on the photo/videog Michelle..... A massive tick off the list and i knew you were worried about the photog after your resort one changed... Brilliant news x

Josie, i know what you mean, were struggling a little with cost and we keep having to remind ourselves if we were getting married over here then it would be about 2014 we were planning for as its just so expensive!!!

Welcome back Mel :-) Were getting married on the beach as to be honest we hadnt even thought of anywhere else since deciding on a Mexico wedding.... cliché but getting married in the sand barefoot to me is just what its all about :-) its been our dream from the start, Im just scared as we requested the time of 4pm to get married but we have been given 1pm!!! and im scared im going to look all sweaty.... but the beach is what we want so i will deal with that at the time :-) It will be worth it x

Michelle, your gazebo is stunning and its practically on the beach, its just a wonderful setting :-) Your doing the right thing for you so thats what counts :-)

Ive missed being on here... reading all your post is making me so so excited again :-)

Hey roo... good to have you drop by :-) x

Lisa, i still havent had a "wedding" dream..... I WANT ONE!!!!! Haha, i love all your dreams they are so so random x

Oooooo, Jo cant wait to see ya pix :-)

OK so i know some of you will have read this on FB but i just have to vent.........

My eventful weekend.......

I was out on fri night with a good friend of mine in town (not done for 2 years) I was drunk but a happy having a good time drunk.... I had my bag stolen :-( I know i should have been more careful, but litrally i turned a way from it for a matter of mins.... SO SO upset and SO SO mad with myself for leaving it out of sight.....
I had my purse with ALL my cards in it & my train ticket to come home (£45 rtn ticket), not too much cash about £20, my mobile (never been so lost without it) my camera... other various bag bits and bobs like make up, perfume etc but i think im more upset about the mob and camera.... As ive cancelled all cards atc, and have other make up but i had so so many pics on my phone from years and years ago, on my memory stick from when stephen i met etc.....and text messages (soppy cow) from stephen 1 or 2 going back 9 years, i only kept a few but they were just so so nice. Also on my camera, i had taken loads and loads of pics of my nephew and niece on fiday day, and wanted to get more pic's on sat sun amd mon :-( Ive never had anything stolen before it still feels horrible now.... its just personal stuff etc.... I know its been done and i cant do anything about it but its just hard to get over. Ive had to borrow money to get home. so i had to pay another £38 for another train ticket :-(

Then......

I went dress shopping with my mum and sister on sat, some of you will be aware i wanted to try the Benjamin Roberts dress on so i had to get the shop to order it in for me from another one of there shops.... great would be a fab afternoon.... or so i thought..... I tried the dress on... I LOVE IT STILL and so did my mum and my sister Kathryn... BUT the women in the shop were awful... made us feel like we shouldnt even be there... like we were in the way.... they we misrable, stood arms folded looking at us like we had done something wrong, not saying much, i was talking to them asking an opinion and she shrugged her shoulders, i asked her if they had a veil i could try and she rolled her eyes then went to get me one, i couldnt wait to get the dress off not because i hated it but so we could get out!!!! My mum nearly said something t them but i just said to leave it as i was so upset. I was so angry as i dont see my parents or my sister much living away as i do and i wanted it to be special... and they just ruined it so much for us.... Kathryn and my mum said i looked gorgeous though :-) and I still loved it so im glad of that!!!!! Shame it was a sat as we couldnt find another shop to get in as all apt only ans wre booked up :-( Im going to write a letter i think of complaint.... this isnt something i do but that experience was just awful.... never felt like before!!!

Then......

On sunday our family cat Gizmo was run over :-( shes a daft cat... lies in the road in my mums street and usually drivers have to get out and move her to drive past she is that daft she dosent know how to move... Then my brothers G/Friend drove off and hit her by mistake she (gizmo) had lay in the road under her card in front of the back wheel.... silly cat..... so they took her to the emergancy vets, had to pay £200 up front so Nat (bros G/F) paid as she just felf awful poor girl.... then we had to fone then at 10PM to see how she was. Anyway we found out her tail was paralised so would have to be amputated, she fractured her pelvis, couldnt go to the toilet so they thought her bladder was damaged.... treatment over night was another £245 :-( SO bloody expensive as it was out of hours emergancy vet!!!!

Then we find out monday morn she has to be put to sleep.... Poor Gizmo, she would have needed 24/7 care for rest of life and also wouldnt be able to do much anyway, vet said the best thing for her would be to let her go to sleep.... SO we had to say night night to her, Was so said and emotional, i know she is a cat but she was part of the family and she was only young really for a cat she was 8 years old.... it was so sad.

BUT......

On a good note (the best infact) I got to meet my new gorgeous niece, she was small on the pic's Kathryn had sent me but flippin eck... she was even more tiny in real life..... She was/ is just beauiful :-)

and my nephew Cole..... On sat i played with him for 7 hours none stop and it was just the best best day ever.... It was brilliant, he is so grown up and shuch a character..... I miss him loads, i took him some buzz lightyears PJ's & slippers as he loves buzz... Kat says he doset want to take em off.

Yesterday at the station say good by broke my heart..... Cole was crying his eyes out, reaching out for me sayin "Nic Nic... stay" "Nic Nic" then he started screaming... i burst into tears it was horrible, the stations guys must have thought i was mad, i couldnt even ask them what ticket i wanted for a min or 2 as i was blubbing so much... It was horrible and my sister has been saying he has been asking for me today..... Arrrrr x

Was so so good to see everyone again :-)

Ok i will shut up now.... Thanks for reading x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
