Sam i can totally understand where you are coming from, we to have had family dramas but at the end of the day it is YOUR wedding. Your FI has been round tried to resolve things so i just think a bit of tough love from now on.... just say.. 'look its our wedding it's what we've decided, i;m not discussing it anymore, Move on!! lol.. why is she keeping on with the drama... !!

 

Girls i had a great hen weekend. Lovely hotel, lovely friends, my mum was the last one standing!!! What a legend, and she won the dares.... she thought it was her hen. I think she is trying to relive her youth. She made my night LOL... MIL on the other hand didn't even say hello to me and then didn't speak to me all day and went off on her own with SIL and her girlfriend and they also only lasted 30mins in the club and left without saying goodbye. Came down an hour late for breakfast............THEN she kisses me goodbye WTF!!!!!!!!!! Freakkkkkk!!!!!!!!!

 

My BM's did a great job though. They bought me a lovely Tiffany Necklace and they made up a memory book for me with a message from lots of friends and family with pix etc.... i cried my eyes out. So touching!! The also made up a Mr & Mrs quizz and everyone had to ask me (mostly rude) questions about me and Dan and those i got wrong i had drink a shot!!!! so funny. MUM was a bit shocked ha ha was all good fun though )

Sounds & looks like you had a great time.  The memory book & necklace sound lovely, not surprised you got emotional.  Fair play to your mum & as for MIL - Well there's not much to say to that.  Glad you had a good time despite her.

Michelle so glad your hen weekend went well....your MIL is definitely a freak.....lol....& I love that word!!!!  Good on your mum....last one standing!!....hahaha  How lovely of your hens to organise your memory book, lovely idea & no wonder you got emotional xx

 

We had our pre Mexico bbq yesterday & it was brilliant....everyone came & after a few...uuuhhhmm....bottles...crates...truck loads of drink our party are now definitely familiar with each other....lol!!  It was really good as a lot of our friends had never met my cousins or aunts & some even my mum & dad so now the ice is definitely broken for Mexico....& Michelle I think our mums would get on like a house on fire as my mum was still doing the Lambada gone midnight!!!! (BBQ started at 1!!)

 

I started packing on Friday.....one suitcase completely done & closed with all the wedding bits in....feels really surreal at the minute, been planning for so long that now its so close feels almost not real.  Picked up all the tickets & they are like little books like guide books on Mexico.....never seen like it before.

Oh my god how amazing is this......back in '94 when me & Richard first got together one of our songs was Crazy for You by Let Loose.....well last night I got an email from Richie the lead singer in the band wishing me & Richard all the best for our wedding day!!!!!!!!!!!! Our friend Malene had contacted them & told them how much we love the song & he sent us the email!!!!   How cool is that!!!!  I emailed him back thanking him for his message & put at the end if he fancies coming to Mexico & singing it live for us he would be more than welcome!!!!....lol!!

And your right about my future SIL I never knew how stubborn she was until this happened but there is no changing her mind that we are in the wrong and that if we want our friends and family with us we should be getting married here WTF, but like you said we have explained it is our wedding it is where we want to get married and we would love her to come but that is now the end of the matter, even her mother is on our side and she isn't speaking to her own mother.... CRAZY

 

Your future MIL is a fruit cake LOL xxx But you just seem to take it in your stride I admire you for that cos it has got to be difficult for you.....

Herbie - we fly out on Saturday 30th July until 13th August.  Our wedding day is on the 6th at Moon Palace.  Starting to get a bit excited now!

 

I love your welcome brochures!  They are A . MAZE. ING.  I was wondering - would you be terribly offended if I poached some of your wording from it?

Have you been to Moon Palace before? That was FI and I first holiday together it is amazing there, you will love it! Ooh we will have to see about meeting for a cocktail. I'm really excited it was 3mths yesterday till we get married.
