Fab, I kinda got pne or two things out of some of the girls before we went but as i said earlier the one girls who was sorting everything inc my outfit didnt end up coming (had to go into hospital...shes ok now thank god!!!)

Im having a mini hen with the girls from work on sat 23rd same weekend as you so will have a drink when im out for you :-)

We stayed on George street, just around the corner from "Zizi's" restaurant where we had tea, we stayed there for a few hours then we left at 10.15.

We wanted to go to a bar called "Tigerlily" but they wouldnt let us in dressed up said we had to take sashes off n L plates n veil etc so we gave it a miss, posh posh posh!! LOL!!! Never had this prob anywhere else.

Then we went to "Maddogs bar" which was fab as it was all music from back in the day... reminded me of my "proper" clubbing days in the 90's.... brilliant, we were in there from 10.30 to 12, then we went to a bar called "Le Monde"... Which is quite classy, 2 floors, really nice but the air con was broke and my god it was hot!!! stayed their for an hour the we went to "Why Not" club, danced the night away and stayed there until it closed... Cant remember the time.... Maybe 3.30/4am. The time just went so so fast!!!

I would reccommend Edinburgh to anyone and everyone ever... i would go back in a heart beat, it was brilliant :-) Yopu will have the time of your lives. What apts did you book? We  stayed at the Glenfiddich Apartments on Annandalse street, 10 mins from George street.... They were Lush apts :-) x

ARGH..... Wana go back :-) x

I would reccommend getting your names on as many places as poss even if you dont go, especially if there are a few of you....

Hi girlies, Nicy so glad you had a fab weekend, you recovered quickly!! Think it's going to take me about a week to recover!!! Michelle glad your feeling better now, and also know what you mean about emotions :-( Well I've got 2 weeks off work love working in a school! On our last day we had a special assembly for Harry's teacher as she's getting married on Friday. The whole school sat split down the middle leaving an aisle and one if her students had o walk her down the aisle to a chair (that had been done up) she was then asked questions about her wedding and presented a present. A sat there thinking 'oh shit' in 3 1/2 mths time I'll have to do that (as it's a bit of a tradition if a teacher is getting married) it really stressed me out as I hate being up in assembly. Plus our last day of school before our wedding is harrys last day of primary school so it's going to be a very emotional day anyway!!! Hen weekend us all booked think there will be 12 of us going, omg it's going to be messy!!! I'm waiting for my vistaprint order to arrive with our brochures, will put picci on when the come. Is everyone that's doing oot bags giving then out before you leave or when you get there?

Sam it was lovely to see her. I hope she comes to our reception as Kate one of my BM's also knows her from primary school so will be a mini reunion. And Kate's twin sister will also be there. :o) I have 3 sets of twins coming to the wedding how funny. :o

So lovely seeing the kids enjoying things. I love it! :o)

Nicy i wanna go on your hen weekend.!!! It really does sound wonderful. I feel gutted now i didn't book 2 nights but i just can't be in that same close space with MIL for two nights i dont know how i'm gonna get through the one. I literally feel sick when i think of being around her. I wish wish wish she weren't coming :o(

My hen is also the weekend of the royal wedding! :o) I went out for a meal last night with some of the girls and they said OMG next time we're together will be your hen.. its REALLY hitting me now. I'm getting a bit nervous ha ha..

Herbie - I am also now off for 2.5 weeks! Yipppeeee i dont work in a school but i work from home for the firm my sister is director for its a catering firm and they supply catering for schools, colleges, uni's etc so they put me on a term time only contract. Happy days :o) Awwww that assembly sounds lovely! How nice they make a fuss of you like that. So nice :o)

OMG i cried like a baby when Harrison left primary school. You better take lots of tissues that day, it will defo be very emotional for you

I'm going to give my OOT bags out when we are there. I've heard lots of storey about it being a nightmare giving them out so i'm going to put them together when we are there and send the kids round to the rooms to deliver them :o) We all arrive together so can't have them in the rooms already. For the BM i will prob have the hotel put it in his room as they arrive a few days after us. :o)

Little bit of info for you girls, hope its helpful. I spoke to my friend today that also married in Mexico. She said her marriage certificate came through the post in about 8 weeks and she used a company called Wolfestone to get it translated. I just gave them a call and she quoted me £49 + vat to do it. :o)

We've had two more people book to come with us our friends but they can only come the second week (she is a school teacher) which means I've had to change my wedding date thank god my wedding co-ordinator is really good at replying to my e-mails, looks like we are getting married on the Monday 24th October instead of Friday 21st October, and the photographer has been really accommodating as well ...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
