For our AHR they aren't charging us for the room but the food is about £10 per head and we are looking at about 100-120 people coming, cake is about £200 and the DJ is £300, Crikey just realised it's nearly £2k!!!!!! I thought I was having a bargain!!!!! LOL

My dress is a slim dress.... post pix shortly.... watch this space....... and mine will deffo fit, the box to me looks massive, im scared its to big.... night have to measure it to put my mind at rest!!! LOL :-)

Were not doing food food, just a finger buffet really. Our DJ is £150 & Cake from M&S for £63 :-) Feel like a right scrooge compared to you lot, but we just simply cant afford it!!! xx

Nicy your not a scrooge at all. Every time we have a party we do our own food, my sister is in catering so she gets it done cheap within the firm. I would do that now but the hotel wont allow it. Another way of getting money out of you. We had our engagement party in a social club and did it on a really tight budget. We've spent alot of money on our AHR but it is only one night and no matter how much we all have or haven't spent on it we are all gonna have a fab time at our parties cos it will be with our friends and family! :o)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
